This month's OXM is worth picking up because it contains an online playable demo for Battlefield for the Xbox. I have it and have played a little bit. It seems like a lot of fun and could be a fun game for a TOJX night.

Sweet! Will def have to pickup a copy of that magazine. Been playing it for PC but my connection keeps lagging so its been singleplayer. :( What map(s) does the xbox demo feature, and does the demo have singleplayer AND multiplayer?

It's only multiplayer, but I'm not sure about the level.

I just picked it up. OXM is slightly pricey at 10 bucks. I understand it comes with a demo disk, but in the PC Gaming Universe, this type of content can be had for free, provided you have an internet connection.

I'm game for a few ToJ sanctioned Battlefield rounds.

Yeah..I was about to buy it..then I saw the price tag and laughed. I don't want to pay 15$ (with taxes) Canadian for the demo >.<. Maybe Ill rent it when it comes out for xbox :p

So would anybody be interested in a ToJ BF 2 demo match? I'm not sure how many ToJers have the demo, but it'd be fun stuff no doubt.

Do you mean for Xbox or for PC? I have the PC version installed..and I would be up for a match or two.

So how is the demo? Are you all still playing it? I noticed that it's still ranking high on last week's Top 25 played Xbox Live games. I let my subscription to OXM run out a couple months ago, so I didn't get the demo. I'd be interested in hearing comments about it... sounds like a promising game.

I just noticed that the address given to OXM by GameCrazy was incorect, so I *should* get a year's worth of back-issues.....rock on! =D

With the MVP package at my GameCrazy, I get a years subscription to a gaming magazine. I choose OXM, but when I looked at my invoice the clerk gave me when I went to renew, my address was for the wrong city. So I should get all of last year's issues, plus the next 12. One of those back-issues will be contain Battlefield 2 demo, so I was just celebrating that I would be able to play it. =)

Someone said they're handing out the demo at EB Games, so you may want to check there. As for the demo, it's smashing fun. I believe I've played it more times then Halo 2, and there's only one map on the demo.

For those of you who have played the PC and Xbox version, how do they compare? Are they basically the same thing? I'm debating on if I should get the PC version or wait for the 360 version. I've got the PC demo and I'm lovin' it except the fact that flying's hard w/o a joystick.

Well, the Xbox edition of Battlefield is a stripped down take on the PC version. The maximum players in a game tops out at 24 and the commander mode isn't present. As to the content of the Xbox 360 version, it's a little confusing. Not much information has been released on it, but if the features listed at GameStop are correct, the 360 installment should be closer to its PC Brethren. That isn't a definitive conclusion however.
