My handy dandy refrence for the locks

The program that derrick refers to is called necrosis and can be found http://www.shadydesign.com/necrosis/files/

also i have put together a guide to warlock strats and dutys in mc

1) You are expected to bring no fewer than 16 shards on the start of each run.
2) when there are 4 locks in the raid Group 1's lock will be expected to give a hs to group 1 and 3 Group 2's lock will be expected to give a hs to Group 2 and 4 the other two locks will be expected to give hs to group's 5&7 and groups 6&8.
3) When there are only three locks those three will be expected to divy out hs's in a fair and effiicent way( i.e. 3 3 2) and the one who does the 2 does the ss.
4)For important banishes after the garr fight please /join rklock as that is the channel we will be using to cordinate the banishes also confirm when you have the target so we can let the raid know that we are ready to pull.
5) on the pulls 2 locks will be in charge of the banishes 1 will be in charge of the CoS and if we have an extra lock he will be back up in case one of the others goes down (the cos lock will also be backup his job is to get cos on both of the elementals before they are banished).
6)SS's will also be cordinated in rklock, as everyone knows sometimes we have a retard moment and wipe on crap that we shouldnt so it is important that a ss is up ALL of the time if it was your turn to put the ss up please tell us when you hit the 5 min mark id rather have a small over lap then chance the SS going down at a bad time.
7) Summoning: we should all be summoning when a person is a long way away

As for the rest of the raid

1) Please tell us when you need a new hs i know its easy to forget but locks cannot be held responsibe after the 1st hs IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO HELP US HELP YOU, also please only ask the lock that is in charge of your group for a hs as when we get deeper into mc shards become harder to get.
2)For the banishes after garr please wait till the locks give the go ahead, it is usually not a problem but better safe then sorry.
3)Locks are not your taxi service we will summon you but please try to make it in time for the raid as i see it the ppl that are on time for the raid(withing the time limit for the 2 dkp points will already be in or close to the instance) should not need a summon, if you are late we will summon you but that means losing the 2 dkp .

If anyone has any problems or concerns please do not hesitate to pm me or pull me down to a channel in vent.

And thats my peice

RK Strats

Prerequisites

* Ventrilo is necessary for immediate communication among 40 people. In MC there are often directions that cannot be typed out due to time constraints. You do not need a mic. You may want to use headphones. Please do not leave this til the last minute to set up.
o ServerIP: 205.138.194.12
o Port Number: 3836
o Password: bitterkids
* The LATEST version of CT_RaidAssist. EVERYONE needs this. No exceptions. No arguements. Get it. Learn it. Use it. Every class needs it, or you are holding back the raid. Healers need to know most/all of the options within CTRaid and use them effectively...especially Mana Conserve, Emergency Monitor, Resurrection Monitor.
* Decursive (Only necessary for Paladins, Priests, Mages, Druids)

Strong Suggestions

* The popular Warlock addon (I don't know much about it except that it exists...See: Sholee)
* BuffAhoy is VERY awesome for paladins who ARE expected to rebuff every 5 mins, including mid fight.
* HateMe is effective for warriors who need to tank things. It manages Taunts so Taunt is not wasted, among other hate generators.

Druids Duty

* Keep pt/raid alive with heals and HoTs (Healing over time)
* Keep tanks alive (druids should work out HoTs so they are not overwriting each other)
* Bring reagents for lots of GoTW. Each Druid should have at least 25.

Hunter Duty

* One hunter is designated to main pull. Use Freeze Traps. Use Feign Death or die on bad pulls.
* Help sort targets. Help pull targets to off-tanks. Other situational responsibilities.
* DPS
* Feint Death when it's up (don't pull hate)
* Keep your pets happy...they keep warlocks alive by dying in certain fights.

Mage Duty

* DPS
* Monitor their own aggro level (stop attacking if you crit multiple times in a row)
* Decursive (Removing Curses IS MORE IMPORTANT than doing damage) As in, if I see missiles while someone is cursed, I'm NOT happy.
* Lvl 60 water providers. LVL 55 waters if there are less than 3 mages on the run.
* Keep Arcane Brilliance up on all groups. (bring 25 powders minimum)
* Other Situational Responsibilites

Paladin Duty

* Heal MT and Offtanks
* Heal Party, use BoP as needed
* Keep Blessings up (co-ordinate Blessings between each other)
* Blessing Priority
o Wisdom on healers
o Salvation on non-tanks
o Light on tanks
o Kings on everyone
o Might on melee
* OOC rezzer (One person)
* DI on wipes (bring reagents)
* Decursive as needed
* Other Situational Responsibilites

Priest Duty

* Heal Party
* HoTs on MT and offtanks, Heal MT and offtanks.
* Keep Prayer of Fortitude up (Bring 25 candles)
* Decursive as needed
* Other Situational Responsibilites

Rogue Duty

* DPS
* Manage your aggro! Use Feint.
* Other Situational Responsibilites

Warlock Duty

* DPS
* Manage your aggro! Please! Warlocks die the most unnecessary deaths. Let's avoid that.
* Keep imp STA buffs on all tanks
* Banish as necessary
* Other Situational Responsiblities

Warrior (DPS) Duty

* DPS
* Manage your aggro! Please take a 3-5 second break after multiple crits.
* Offtank when needed (Bring appropriate gear)
* Other Situational Responsiblities

Warrior (Tank) Duty

* Keep Hate
* User Cooldowns appropriately to stay alive in close situations
* Keep AOE and Cone damage off others
* Other Situational Responsiblities

Giants

* let tanks gain aggro
* take down one at a time
* stop dmg if tank loses aggro

Firelords

* let tanks gain a bit of aggro (hard to hold)
* Mages use Blizzard
* Rogues/Hunters retarget and kills spawns asap

Elementals

* Zerg

Surgers

* Zerg
* Don't stand near edge

Hounds

* tank gain aggro and turn mob away from healers
* dps attack from behind
* imagine a clock
o tank stands at 7:30
o ranged/healers stand at 12:00
o melee stand at 4:00
* (Why? so if a melee pulls hate the mob doesn't hit the casters with fire cone.)

Imps

* Avoid first group
* zerg second group on right...wars and paladins aoe..then mages/locks/hunters aoe

Hound packs

* one tank per dog
* press "v" to see multiple mob hp
* spread out Single target dps to get collective mob hp to 50%
* AOE from 50% to zero

Firewalker groups

* Pally DS pull
* Two tanks on flameguard/firewalker, two banishes on elementals
* Heavy heals on tanks
* order is Firewalker>Flameguard>Elemental>Elemental

Copy/Pasted for your easy of reading this is what is expected of any redeemed member that wishes to run MC with RoadKill.

Also know that Roadkill is not a Christian guild and does not mix Religion/politics/ect with their guild. IE there is going to be swearing, and some to the excess at times, if you feel that you will drop raid due to this please dont come as it will have a negative impact on Roadkills view of Redeemed most likely.

Are there any gear requirements/recomendations? Bring a second set, plus fire resist or anything like that?

How bad is the swearing (did you mean "and some to the excess at times")? I know everyone's opinion of this differs but me personally, I can take the occasional darn and oh crap when something bad happens but f-bombs being used in every sentence would be offensive.

yes you need to have fire resist gear (as much as possible) yes F bombs and every other word is used, alot of GD's ect, second set is always good as we dont bring out the repair bot often.

depends on the class as a paladin i would recommend you have at least 3-4k base mana unbuffed. no you dont need to respec holy to do this either.

also know that the raid usually gets filled with Roadkill first and redeemed is being used to fill any spots (usually healers/warlocks and occasionally a warrior)

any RKC road boss can make things clearer ect for us i am just forwarding the infomration to the best of my own personal knowledge and this may not be 100% accurate.

Hi,

I hope I can help clear up some questions.

Regarding the language used...it does get pretty filthy at times. Our viewpoint is that the gaming world is a release or "break" from real life, where such language is not acceptable in most circumstances. As such, we are lenient in terms of vulgarity and warn folks that potentially have children within earshot that they should use headphones. If your good with computers, I think you can set it up so that WoW sound goes to your PC speakers and Ventrilo sound goes to a headphone output, but I personally do not know how to do that.

That said, we don't allow cursing "at" people (unless it's an obvious joking situation). We don't allow racism. I act as swiftly as I can to eliminate racism in any form. There is a medium degree of homophobic joking, so if that offends you, you probably want to abstain from going on rk runs. Is it right? Is it wrong? It's probably wrong but I don't wish to spend my whole gaming time policing other people...so that behaviour is tolerated but not endorsed.

I dunno, if the words "f___" or "s___" really really offend you, well then you will probably be offended :-( Whenever you have a group of 40+ people coming together, everyone's tolerance level will be different unfortunately.

Regarding Paladins, 3000MP unbuffed would be considered too low, 4000MP unbuffed would be a good goal for folks who are new, and 5000MP unbuffed would be considered good. (Don't forget Stamina pallies, you can't heal if you die to fast) My wife has between 5000 and 6000 mana, 4000ish hit points, and 36MP/5 seconds mana regen. So with Blessing of Wisdom she gets 72 MP/5 seconds regened. She rarely has to use a mp pot. The reason a paladin needs so much mp and mpregen is because their blessings are so important. AND they are expected to keep blessings up on 20 ppl each.

Once a paladin gets the 5k manapool and about 20 MP/5 second regen from gear, they can concentrate on +healing gear to make their Flash of Light absolutely astounding. A properly equipped group of paladins are the most effective MC healers because their heals cause no aggro and they are very very mana efficient. You can achieve all of this without respecing, but I highly recommend you have Illumination 5/5 and Divine Favor 1/1. Other perks are Imp BoSalvation and Imp BoProtection if you're a paladin that makes good use of BoP, but those two are only perks and not high recommendations.

If you come to MC fully repaired, you should not need a repair bot that night. As MT, my repair bill is typically 10gold. I know priests typically spend a 3gold repair bill, and everyone else is somewhere in between.

As for invites, I would have liked to set up a system where Redeemed was alotted 2-5 spots in a run, but then my guild would probably shoot me. We just came out of an alliance with Verndari where so many spots were reserved for each guild, and ya, after a while, it got crazy. I really appreciate any help you can give and hope to help you all out as well. The dkp system is set up to spread the loot out to as many folks as possible. Don't be discouraged if there are folks out there with higher point totals, cuz in all likelyhood they already have the set item.

Thanks,
Derrick

Thanks for the info Derrick.

Your wife happen to have a profile through thottbot or allakhazam I could take a look at to see what kind of gear she is using? I have 3 pieces of lightforge for the plus healing and a couple other blues that give additional healing but I am way low on the health and shy a bit on the mana (check out my allakhazam Sandric profile). I am just shy of level 60 and would like to know what to roll on or look at purchasing through the auction house in preparation.

My experience over vent has been quite good. Yes there is cussing, and yes F____ and other choice superlatives are used. Its not rampant and the more stressful a situation is, the more likely you will hear them strung together. And not every stressful situation is an event where you will hear it either. What is stressful to a first time runner, is not stressful to people who have run it many times over. And for the most part, only 3 or 4 people will ever talk over vent and that is to give instructions for an upcoming event, or maybe to inform people of progress during an event.

Quite honestly, after joining a few other guilds vent and TS servers for UBRS and Baron runs, Roadkill has definatly been one of the cleanest language experiences I've had.

RKs DKP system seems to be on of the more fair systems I've seen. 50 points for showing up for the first time, and then you earn points for being there when a boss is killed, points for showing up on time. And everybody earns points at the same rate for the same reasons and the reports are transperant as to who has what points and why and when they earned them. So far its seems to be run as a 1 item per run, so people with lots of points are not running out with 3 items and other who could use those items ending up with nothing. And instead of using a bid system, its been the person with the most points in a class (for class set items) have first right of refusal. And if a non-set item drops, of those interested (within reason, warriors are not going to be interested in wands), the one with the most points win. Each item has a point value, and that point value is deducted from your total points. So it works like a bank. Earn money (DKP) and spend it on an item when you can afford it.

- after your first run you are allowed to turn in farmables (certain herbs, fused wiring, etc) for a bit of bonus DKP
- if you are ready to go but we don't allow you to go because there are already too many of your class, we will award you Standby DKP, and for every boss we kill while you are on Standby, you get 75% of the DKP added to your personal amount.
- if you leave the game
- you get a 2 point bonus each night you are on time.
- I am currently changing the existing dkp system to make it more fun and dynamic.

- there is negative DKP applied if you are found guilty of excessive chatter or derogatory remarks made towards another person. (although you are clearly warned on your first offence, and DKP reductions start on your second offence)

There are other details but meh, you already seem to have a good handle on the basics.

- I don't think she uses the profile addon.
- She has 3 pieces of Lawbringer (and that only comes with MC running) and the helm of Judgment
- She had 5 pieces of Lightforge I think
- Most of her pre-MC gear came from Dire Maul, and I mean a LOT of Dire Maul runs
- She swears by +mpregen and yet, has never seen the Mindtap Talisman drop. (that is not a happy topic of discussion for her)
- She use to wear some Mail and Leather pieces (Armor is not needed for paladins in MC) but I think she is all plate now.

Some good non-MC drops for pallies (excluding LF, which is also better than average, but not optimal)

Head - Whitesoul Helm (crafted)
Neck - Tempest Talisman (Hydrospawn in DM west)
Shoulders - Royal Cap Spaulders (Jandice in Scholo)
Chest - Energized Breastplate (Alzzin in DM west)
Wrist - Loomguard Armbraces (Kirtonos in Scholo)
Hands - Gordok's Guantlets (quest line in DM East and North)
Waist - Barrage Girdle (Cannon Master in Stratsm) or Feralsurge Girdle (Rend in Ubrs)
Legs - Chitinous Plate Legguards - Nerub thinger (first mini-boss in Strat Baron run)
Feet - Merciful Greaves (Alzzin in DM west)
Ring - Band of Rumination (Rend in Ubrs)
Ring - Fordring's Seal (Fordring questline) or Ring of Demonic Guile (Alzzin in DM west)
Trinket - Eye of the Beast (Alternate UBRS quest reward to Blackhand Breadth...tough decision /cry)
Trinket - Mindtap Talisman (Magister Kalendris)

If my paladin was lvl 55 right now, he would be searching for those (relatively easy-to-get) pieces of gear in prep for MC. Enchants would include Int and Fire resistance where applicable. Paladins do not need a lot of Fire Resist gear until everyone is serious about Ragnaros.
