Okay, so you see everyone talking about the Hall of Heroes; Guild Wars notifies you every single time someone wins the Hall of Heroes. But what does it mean?
Well, the Hall of Heroes is actually the finale battle for Heroes Ascent...which introduces a string of other questions...
What is Heroes Ascent?
Heroes Ascent is a location in the Battle Isles, which is available to players of all territories and all campaigns. It is also the first battle, and the only one you MUST complete to make it to the Hall. You may skip any or all of the stages leading up to the Hall of Heroes, but you must win in Heroes Ascent first. It's the only battle that is against the AI, not against other players.
How do I get to Heroes Ascent?
Well, if you have a PvE (Roleplaying) character, you must reach one of the ship towns first: Lion's Arch, Kaineng Center, or Kamadan, Jewel of Istan. Once there, you take a ship to the Great Temple of Balthazar. If you create a PvP character, you'll land directly in the Great Temple.
Okay, what happens once I'm in the Temple?
You must complete several steps to get to Heroes Ascent.
1. Win five consecutive matches in the Random Arenas. (This is the hardest part of getting to HA!)
2. Win five total matches in the Team Arenas.
3. Travel to Heroes Ascent.
After you've done all that once for your account, you can map to Heroes Ascent at any time.

And please, if you need to unlock Heroes Ascent, let us know! We can't help you in Random Arenas, since the teams are random, but several people know good builds for that. Once you get to TA, many of us know reliable builds to win there and can form a team with you!
