It is actually a prepackaged emulated executable. Performance will sux and it will be unusable on PPC based computers.

There's a couple ways to get it to work on Linux too.....but performance isn't as good...playable from what I've heard though.

It is good enough for basic missions, I wouldn't dare try it for pvp though.

EVE Under Mac OSX
Works practically 'out of the box' under Crossover 6.1 from Codeweavers. You can also use WINE to run EVE.

You cannot play EVE on a Power PC Mac - it will only run on an Intel Mac with OS 10.4 or later

Code weavers (http://www.codeweavers.com/) you have to pay for it, but there's a free 30 day....so you could use that to tryEVE for 14 days

Yeah, the Mac version isn't out yet.
