Writers! Wake up!

Let's put together a new writing contest for October and get it started.

EDIT: Post your ideas for a new writing assignment here. Once we decide on a new assignment, we'll post a new thread.

i dont have a suggestion but i want to try this to practice my writing skillz. becuase of ASL and the interweb, my typage has gone down the drains i think.

i did have one idea a while back - proving that google is the closest thing to a physical deffinition of a god that we have... >.>

The writing contest is to write a story about a writing contest! It's serious and C$ at the same time!

blah i cant write fiction for the life of me. i tried a few times and yeah just couldt care, nor am i good of thinking up storys

My idea:

The writing contest is to write a story about a writing contest! It's serious and C$ at the same time!That's...an idea. Not quite what I had in mind, but a viable option.
As I am sitting here watching Heroes, I'm thinking, how about a story about a Hero..."Write a story about the everyday life of a X-Ma--err, Hero?" Sounds interesting. Each participant would need to come up with their own originally Hero, though, and keep the entry to 500 words or fewer.

I like it. Any other ideas?

That's...an idea. Not quite what I had in mind, but a viable option.

I made someone blink with bewilderment/slight amusement/confusion/disbelief!

How bout the theme being "Little mistakes can cause big problems" - and entrys could be along the lines of a plumber unscrewing the wrong pipe and the story ending with Armagedddon(just as an example).

Just a suggestion. :)
