Ok here we are - at Luke 6 37 & 38 - in NIV Version.
Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, and will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
I chose this for a couple reasons: I wanted to stick with New Testament because Easter is coming up & this seemed very appropriate to help us guide our playing style.
It is very easy to get upset when we lose in battlegrounds or when we have a party wipe in an instance. However, we can choose our actions when we feel an emotion. That is what sets us apart and sets the example for others. When we do something Christ-like, we are noticed. And when we don't - we are also noticed. I have to remember that I am Christ's representative here and what I do will impact someone's thoughts on Christians. I stayed away from Christianity for 40 years because the only ones who claimed Christianity were hypocritical. I want to be better than that.
Your thoughts?

Great now I have to start reading this more........LOL Thanks Mad. Now for my anwser
My thoughts are that when we are Christ-like not just in game but always people will look at you differentlyand when we don't act Christ-like then we are judged by non-Christians harder than that of God for they don't understand and consider us hypocrits in our believes. So with that I believe that it is easier if we just rememeber that we are humans and will stumble from time to time and what ever we do or don't will reflect on Christ and foremost strive to be a good reflection on our Lord and that He will always be there, to guide the way, and we shouldn't worry about being judged by anyone except Him for He is the Light, the Way and the Truth.

This quote from the Bible is often used my ignorant/incorrect people to justify evil behavior. What "blind" people need to do is realize that this refers to ones soul. We cannot peer into the soul and see what he/she has done and why. In society if we did not judge according to action we would live in chaos. For example, a child molester gets out of jail: should he be aloud to teach 1st graders? Of course not. Therefore, his soul we do not judge, but common sense must prevail for people as a society to protect the innocent.

Ohio, you bring up a good point. And as a former secularist, I agree. This has been misused horribly, but used with the whole context shows what it is - this is God speaking to us and showing us what we reap we will sow (so to speak) and that our intent is as important as our actions. No one can truly know another's intent - most of the time I am not sure of my own - so judging another's is not something anyone can do: except God who knows our thoughts.
There is a comfort in knowing that ONLY God knows our thoughts, but it can be convicting as well.

I read the New Living Translation, and this thread reminds me of a particular passage in Mathew 7:18-20:
"18 A good tree can't produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can't produce good fruit. 19 So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. 20 Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions."
I think that this verse, especially verse 20, really refelcts what Ohio is saying, that we should 'Identify' people by their actions, not judge them because that entails something different. As has been stated here only God can judge, but he does expect us to make up our mind about people and to act accordingly.

I love those two verses, cause it is our job to help our brothers out, convicting them using the word of God. We are only the one that are pointing out the words of God judgment to another, not doing the judging.
Also something else, if someone while at home is watching shows that God hates, doing things that God hates, produces bad fruit. I am always looking to the things I watch on TV, listen to on the radio or CD and removing that which God hates. IT’s not something that is easy; this country produces sin and evil in a pretty box. It’s like chocolate covered poop… sure the outside looks like something good, smells good and even if you lick it, it tastes good… but once you take that bite… well you get the picture.

.... so, since the elections are coming up does this mean that we "judge" the leader of the free world by those that he or she keeps close? You may drawl your own conclusions. But for some reason some people do not think that is important?! I do believe in being respectful/civil to everyone but that is not the definition of a friend, or am I wrong?

If you are a fiend I think that you can be respectful/civil and not judgmental. I think it's not easy to do but I think it can be done by being respectful and letting God's word do the convicting. Of course this only works if your friend is a true believer and knows you are coming to them out of brotherly love. We live in a fallen world and humans by nature are selfish and volatile which is why we have to rely on Him to guide us and change our hearts as well as theirs. I don't think it's disrespectful to point out to a friend things they are doing that you think are hurting their relationship with God or the body.

Amen brother. I've found my iPod to be a saving grace for me when it comes to entertainment. Especially compared to radio or TV. I can control exactly what I listen to and even download Christian audio books to listen to occasionally, I rarely turn on the radio any more. When it comes to TV I tend to buy a season pass to a show my wife and I like, that way no commercials that objectify people and tell you your not happy because you don't have the latest gadget.
