I wanted to see if anyone else see's this trend in the life of alot of people in world. So as I was reading about the rich young ruler, I asked myself why did he call Jesus good teacher and not the Son of God like Peter did. And I came to realize at this time he didn't see Jesus as God, or the Greek word Theos, which means the Supreme Divinity. This man saw Him only as someone that has good ideas and teachings, not the God to give his life for! Now as this thought started taking place in my heart I began to see areas in my life that I hadn't seen or placed God in control of bc of my vision of God was limited by my own lack of faith in Jesus. note:
if you get into trouble;
swap to you dagger
#3 skill will immobilize your foe allowing you to gain some distance
#2 will siphon health and help you heal up some
you can also burst your blood fiends for extra health


i seem to use death shroud when i am overrun by a mob that gets up in my face
first i drop my marks at my location (#2-5) to damage the "too close" enemies
then i go into death shroud and hit life transfer (F4) to melt them down
swap back to dagger due to its upclose fast auto-attack gaining health from each hit
when my #2 dagger skill is ready i will siphon a huge amount of health
restoring me to a reasonable amount of health.
all the while my minions are sending me health and keeping conditions off of me

There is so much in these 3 verses, one could easily do an entire sermon series on this.

We should try to live our lives as this widow did in these verses. She gave everything. She didn't give what was comfortable (out of her abundance) but all that she had.

We, as followers of Christ, are called to give all that we have. This doesn't necessarily mean financially or materially, although it could. We are called to die, to take up our cross daily.

Jesus encountered many people that wanted to follow Him. However when He told them what it would cost (everything) they walked away with their heads down. Don't let us be like those men. Part I


A message flashed on each officer’s eye.

“SquadCAP to squadron: adjust course heading to three-five-five by three-five-five relative. Maintain deceleration for three minutes, then cut engines on my mark.”

Two seconds of waiting.

Another message flashed.

“All ships confirm three-five-five by three-five-five relative. Awaiting mark.”

The three minutes dragged intolerably. Were time a living being, the men and women aboard each ship would have frightened it into a madman’s sprint. But it would not – could not – move any faster. It, too, was exhausted.

Seven gravities crushed the officers. They breathed ponderously, fighting for every gulp of air. No sleep for seventy-two hours had only intensified their dread, depression, and artificial alertness.

Is this moment my last?, they perpetually asked themselves.

Perhaps death would arrive instantly, in a burst of hot plasma from an enemy missile. Or perhaps it would merely be quick, with the medium cruiser melting apart in space after taking one too many laser hits.

The zero-gravity alarm chimed.

Another series of messages:

“SquadCAP to squadron:

“…three…

“…two…

“…one…

“…mark.”

Two more seconds of waiting. Two more seconds of the crushing bricks…

The weight lifted. Gravity ceased. As if gently released by a giant hand, the cruiser and her escorts slipped into a high orbit around Antillaire-Irix.

Yet another message:

“All ships confirm engines cut. Maintaining current orbit.”

Relieved sighs clouded each ship’s communications system. Even through the pain of their aching, overstressed muscles, the crews took some solace in again hearing each other’s voices.

The Antillaire system was utterly uninviting and inhospitable. Its two stars, Antillaire-Opus and Antillaire-Irix, danced about each other at a perfect distance. Over time, solar flares had ejected antimatter, settling into a thin ring around each star. These rings formed a hot, deadly figure-eight, and the squadron’s pursuers could not see through the stars’ intense radiation and magnetic fields.

Those pursuers had apparently broken off their chase. Captain Halperia Darlan focused wearily on her Virtual Eye Display, showing her the ship’s sensor findings. Radar and LIDAR data, displayed on her VED, confirmed the enemy squadron’s movements. Their last known course revealed a rapid acceleration toward the jumpgate to Baludeika. The pursuers couldn’t find their targets, but could most definitely blockade them.

Darlan should have known they would try that.

Perhaps, then, death would be gradual. Perhaps the crews would run out of supplies and simply starve.

I've had an RPG itch going for a while now. I've got a little chunk of Amazon credit. I'm thinking about picking up the Pathfinder Beginner's Kit (or some such) or the D&D 4e Red Box to scratch that RPG itch. I've played a little 4e. I've never played D&D 3.5 or Pathfinder (at least not in their tabletop forms).

So, I thought I'd ask you all before putting one or the other in my purchase queue. Who plays Pathfinder? Why do you play it over D&D? What do you like most about it? Do you have any warnings to give regarding the game to potential newcomers?
