Ephesians 5:25-28 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing[a] her with the washing of water by the word. 27 He did this to present the church to Himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and blameless. 28 In the same way, husbands are to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.

Thought I'd go with a little meatier passage today. As simple as this passage is, it is very complex and involved. I am in a situation right now in which I am l looking at the wisdom of this passage, and considering for safety's sake to pull a Pappy Yokum, "I Has Spoken", but love says which is more loving? The risk or stepping in. Much prayer. There is also some for wives to think on here, how can you help your husband fulfill this passage? Such a simple passage, that requires much prayer to put into practice.
