1 General Information

1.1 What is the purpose of this document?
We have a communication problem. Members get their information from a myriad of both ingame and out of game sources. The intent of this thread is to centralize the information in clear and concise format. We hope to use the information presented in this document to help start mending bridges and get things back on track. Once it starts to fill out, our plan is to link to it from several sources including guild message of the day, forums, web site and mass email.

This is to be a living document updated as information is made available. Our intent is to make this as accurate as possible but this will not be used as a forum to bring others down. So restraint will be used on our part to limit information to only what is generally known and non offensive. That means this thread will be heavily policed and flames will be removed immediatly.
1.2 What is Sanctification?
Sanctification was orginally created as a guild for CGamer's (Alhana/Gnimish in game) alts outside of Redeemed. Due to recent events, it is being used as staging spot for those leaving Redeemed in the hopes to keep everyone close by until things can be resolved. Goblit and Avesther are apart of Sanctification. Sanctification is not a sponsored guild of Tribe of Judah. Which basically means it is not subject to the rules of ToJ.
1.3 Why did the split happen?
Why do splits happen in any group? There is only one answer to this... People. We are such a dynamic group spanning nations, religous denominations, ethnic and core beliefs. To think that our members would not be in conflict with each other at some point would be niave at best. After all, we are all humans born of a sinful nature.

With that context in mind, why did this particular split happen. It was a series of events that culminated in to what you see now. Mistakes were made along the way. While some things were reconciled, others were not and were left festering. They prooved to be the breaking point for several members when Redeemed went through another one of its growing pains. Again, members on both side let human nature get the best of them creating division and anymosity. Again, all part of being human. What should seperate us from the rest of society is how we deal with cleaning up the mess.
1.4 Can Sanctification members participate in Redeemed events?
Yes. We would hope that everyone has already started mending fences and doing this in the more general aspects of the game like pickup groups between the two guilds but the invitation is always extended for other events such as Bible studies and the like.

Player Name (Forum Name) - Position
Theros (CGamer) - Guild Master
Goblit (Goblit) - Recruiter
Am I missing others (haven't been in game)?
2.3 What are the Redeemed Officers doing to reconcile the situation?
Praying. We are hitting our hands and knees hard on this one as it is tuff subject that none of us have the answers for. We need some serious guidance.

We as officers are committed to seeing Redeemed continue to be successful.

We are concerned for everyone that is and has been a part of the Redeemed family and are making the committment to reconcile this situation as best as we can.

We are actively trying to mend bridges between those involved by in and out of game communication.

We are trying to keep you, the members, informed via posts like these.

3 Team Eternity

3.1 What is the status of Team Eternity?
At this time Redeemed is announcing we will be suspending our efforts in Team Eternity.

The leadership of Redeemed has given great time, energy, thought, and prayer to the decision of suspending current TE raiding participation. This suspension is due to several items, but mainly as a result of the upcoming release of BC and the changes that will come with it.

We would like to take time to do some work in-house, so to speak, and encourage our members to spend time leveling, exploring new areas, working on new tradeskills\gathering, but even more importantly on building on our current in-guild relations with one another. We will utilize this extra time to help train our more experienced players with leadership of in-guild raids on some instances (ZG, AQ20, and MC for example) as well as train our newer to 60 and more casual members with these raids.

This is a time of growth, and with this expansion comes the need to "expand" one's own boundaries. We would like to encourage you, as we will be doing for our members, to continue to group together for questing, leveling, PvP, and elsewise as we journey down this new path. We in no way mean this as a seperation factor but rather as a time to re-gather and re-strengthen ties within our own guild. We will take the time necessary to do this and as such give no time frame as to which we may re-continue, if so allowed, to raid with TE.

During this process we wish to maintain our relations with Sanctification, as well as keeping an open door for discussions. Please feel free to contact any of the leaders of Redeemed for questions\comments, and let's work hard on putting our people on the forefront to a better and more Godly gaming environment together. We wish you all great peace and blessings, as we remain ever faithful to the bonds between us all.

2 Peter 1:5-8 - "For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."
3.2 Who will be leading Team Eternity?
Unknown at this time. Refer to 3.1 for more information.
3.3 Can members of Sanctification participate in Redeemed lead raids?
Yes, Redeemed has always had a pretty open attendance policy for raids. We had several goals with creating raid events, an important goal was outreach to those who were not a part of Redeemed. It meant we kept a pretty open door as long as the raider was willing to follow our rules. This will continue to be the case. Of course raid leaders always reserve the right to deny individuals based on gear, experience and class balance.
3.4 Can members of Sanctification use Redeemed raiding resources?
Yes. In a further attempt to continue to mend fences, the Redeemed Staff has reinstated the EQDKP access rights for Avesther and the PHPRaid access rights for Avesther and Goblit. Mirakle has also extended the offer to help with DKP maintenance during the raid events to allow raid leaders to focus their efforts on the raid itself.

4 Rumors

4.1 Sanctification member's DKP on the Redeemed DKP site.
Members of Sanctification's DKP was not removed from the Redeemed DKP site.
4.2 Gods_peon and Redeemed Leaders.
There have been numerous rumors on this topic. Best to refere to Gods_peon's own words when asked about if he left because of the Redeemed leaders or ToJ Leaders.
4.3 Gods_peon and ToJ Leaders.
One of the most important thing to note is that a lot of Redeemed leaders that have been or are currently ToJ staff members. To list a few:
Bowser (Tebran)
Elihu (Fjorboug)
Exo-Slayer (Melko)
Plankeye (Sandric)
Ulfbrikt (Tek7)
There seems to be confusion that there is a seperation between these two groups. That is simply not the case. Redeemed is an extension of ToJ.
Having said that, were their issues between Gods_peon and ToJ Leaders. Yes. To put the rumor to rest that Tek kicked Gods_peon out of Redeemed, please refer to Gods_peon's own words on the subject and see that he made a choice under his own volition to leave Redeemed.

Reading that, you may wonder why Goblit left Redeemed, please refer to her own words too.

For Tek's view, please refer to his words.

5 Sponsorship Program

5.1 What is the status of the sponsorship program?
It is on hold for now, but is very much an open topic in the staff forums. It has clearly been viewed as a major sticking point for those involved. Because of the volatile nature of this topic, we would not do it justice by bringing it back as is as members have already stated that would not take kindly to being flagged as sponsored. In the same token, we can not ignore it and hope that it goes away as it is very much an important part to extending the values and truths we hold to others. So we can only ask your patient on this matter. A decision on this will not be made lightly. That means it will also not be made quickly. In light of all the other concerns with just getting everyone to the table to start hashing out the numerous issues, again I stress the need for patience on this topic.

Thank you Plankeye for putting all this together.

I would like to add that all of us are doing our best to understand each other bridge and gaps in fellowship that have occured.

Quote from Avesther in the thread - Thoughts and Ramblings :

"With that said, I can no longer remain under your authority Tek and I have approached Kidan about what I have to do to be removed from the ToJ roster."

Is Avesther no longer a member of ToJ ?

Something I've been learning from recent studies.

Put yourself in the perspective of someone who doesn't know Jesus. A lot of them are turned off by Christianity because of the way Christians act. They judge the whole denomination by how the people act. But, realistically, you can't expect Christians to be perfect as they are called to do. They will let you down.

But then there's Jesus. Just because the Christians you know have swayed from the expectations you had, Jesus remains the same: perfect. Look to the example that Jesus set for us. Don't look to the right or the left.

A change in your beliefs doesn't change the facts. God put the truth out there for us to seek it out. And if you seek, you shall find.
