Locked save files for Nintendo Wii games (Discussion)

I find this to be pointless...one...I don't really download saves, well, I did for DBZ:BT2, but that was because I wanted to try out all the characters, but I put my old file right back on... I don't know...really sounds silly to do this... I thought the whole SD and SD to PC easy thing was an awesome thing...but oh well...
I did the same thing to try out locked stages in Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. After I tried out three locked stages (which are exceedingly difficult to open through normal means), I restored my personal save file and continued working at unlocking those levels.

If I spend the money to rent or purchase a game, I don't see any problem with using legal (i.e. not a violation of license) means to access game content.

I recently discovered there's an improved way to back up locked save files, but it means installing the Homebrew Channel (a source of some controversy). I won't give the details and I likely won't update my original locked Wii save files FAQ since it didn't seem to get many reads. Besides, there are plenty of great sources of information for Wii homebrew out there.
