Wii MotionPlus

The Wii MotionPlus is an expansion device for the Wii Remote video game controller that allows it to more accurately capture complex motion. According to Nintendo, the sensor in the device supplements the accelerometer and Sensor Bar capabilities of the Wii Remote to enable actions to be rendered identically on the screen in real time.

After having briefly played Wii Sports Resort, I can say that MotionPlus delivers the experience most of us were expecting when the Wii first launched in November 2006.

The release of MotionPlus is an important milestone in video game history, so it only made sense to create a thread here in General Discussion to talk about it.

Who else has played a game using the MotionPlus add-on? What are your impressions?

How do you want to see Nintendo and third-party developers use the MotionPlus add-on?

And who else thinks a Star Wars game requiring the MotionPlus add-on for lightsaber duels is an absolute necessity for the Wii library?

Considering how much they had to nerf the last one to get it to run on the wii...
