BIG thumbs up: Swords & Soldiers (Wii Ware)

Been playing Swords & Soldiers for awhile. It's very much like a sidescrolling Warcraft RTS with a LOT of humor. Great style, music, controls, challenge.

Play as Vikings, Aztecs, or the Chinese. Multiplayer options and lots of achievements.

- Viking motive is their neverending quest to make the greatest BBQ ever.
- Aztec motive is to protect their precious gargantuan chili pepper (which of course the Vikings desire for their BBQ)

*** one thing to note, the Chinese motive is to win favor of 'the gods.'

The game has an 84 on Metacritic. Must be pretty good.

Is there a demo for the game?

Not that I have ever seen. It only costs about $10(?) It's been awhile since I bought it, and I sorta forget. It wasn't expensive at all....well worth the pesos. My daughter and I STILL play it, and I think I bought it about 1½ years ago. It feels very different than most games out there.

I just noticed while browsing the Playstation Store that there's a PSN version of Swords & Soldiers.

May be worth checking out for those with expensive HDTVs (read: not me).

At the least, I think I'll download the demo of the PSN version and give it a spin.
