Daughter surgery

Officer SOE/LoE/Where's "here"?
Today my daughter is having surgery on her eyelid to correct a major foul up by Navy doctors. It is critical to her being able to use her prosthetic shell and the seating of her already in place base for it, an artificial eye. It is a total reconstruction, and in the long run more than cosmetic. At her age it can make a difference.

She's home and things went better than expected, some skin grafts not needed. Now for a 2 week recovery before we can see how well it will work.

Praying for a speedy recovery!

And totally going to tell my optometrist wife about this so she can ask about the details if she wants to. (Sorry, that's probably tacky, but I'm always amazed by this sort of thing.)
