Proverbs 25:28
"He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls."
What good is it to build up a city to leave it without defenses so that all that is in it can be easily destroyed or taken away? So is the place of discipline and self-rule within our personal lives, so that those things we strive to gain for God and His kingdom will remain for Him instead of being spoiled by the devil who is always watching for any opportunity he can get over us.
