Jeremiah 17:8 NLT

They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.

I got stuck on trees and their roots lately after I saw a tree I planted many years ago that stands tall and beautiful. I remembered the beatings it took from storms and drought yet there it stood providing shade and fruit for the wildlife. After all that it flourished!!! Maybe there's something there that proves we have this same opportunity in life. Growth even when it doesn't seem possible or probable. Now like the leaves that rustle in the breeze, our smiles, our pleasant vocabulary brings the hope that even in hard times there is a tomorrow!!! Smile we need the fertilizer!!!
