Sunday July 26th, 2009 Its ok to want to move up

1. Here is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer, he desires a noble task.

I have been struggling in my own personal life in regards to pride in my work and wanting to move up in my, or another company.

I am good at my job, I can say that without pride or ego. God gave me the ability to do what I do, and honestly, I have wanted to move up, become a manager. Yet at the same time I found myself feeling guilty for wanting to move up in the company... This verse gives me hope that it is alright. The verses following it list off a code of conduct that should be in place before I allow myself to move up to that level. Praise the Lord for bringing me to this verse!
