Jesus told the parable of the Shrewd Manager - and he summarized it with this teaching:

Here’s the lesson: Use your worldly resources to benefit others and make friends. Then, when your earthly possessions are gone, they will welcome you to an eternal home. Luke 16:9 (NLT)

God blesses us so we can be a blessing to others.

I so love this verse's attention for an individual and to friends. It makes me cheerful to know my true friends will be waiting for me! Oh my, and the ones I myself will greet! Priceless!
