war craft three

Personally I dont totally agree with the review. My take on it is the same as it is on other games like Diablo. Yes it does have somewhat of a darker side and a lot of blood, I find nothing offensive in it.

also why would you want warcraftiii the story, well then you have to deal with the ugliness at times, or are you playing it for the UMS and custom games?
 
I only play single-player. The story I like since it is very lord-of-the-rings-esque, and while serious in to its setting, is rather light-hearted, not so depressing as some games, lol
 
Warcraft III will remain the best RTS only second to Starcraft...when blizzard puts their mind to it, they make any genre shine. Heres how I stand on the appropriatness of Warcraft...
I think for one, it is gory and magic influenced.
Two, anything can happen in warcraft...porn...anything can happen on warcraft. Paintball, warewolf, tag, movies, sports...yada yada.
So you have to recognize that ur kid can be getting into pretty much anything he pleases while on-line.
You may find this funny, but every new game I play, my vocabulary increses for the better. I learn many new words and cool things. I learned the ingredience in bronze and coal while I played runescape. So I think that some games can be educational in a few ways. Warcraft is more fun than anything though
