Jesus told us we should lay up treasure in heaven - ever wonder exactly how you do that? Now, this passage is not talking about salvation - that is a matter of faith - it is about how to have the life that is truly life.
To do good - be rich in good deeds - be generous and willing to share. Having a generous spirit makes for a rich full life - and it pleases God (more on that tomorrow) - and it is how we store treasure in heaven.
