What is up with NCSoft Support?

first off let me say:
i haven't logged into the NCSoft/Guild Wars 1 store in 4-5 years.

and i forgot my details and after a few tries i have a
"log-in disabled too many attempts try later" message.

I contacted support they gave me an email solution that requires a log-in to reset everything and after a few hours it still will not let me in
to make a purchase.

i can't seem to get them to understand they have to fix the log-in disabled
thing so i can get on with my day and my purchase.

i sent them all my details that only i would know
and explained what i need fixed and they just keep giving me solutions
that aren't possible till i can log in.

luckily i can still log into Guild Wars 1
but i can't get the extra's i want until this is resolved

NCSoft has one of the best reputations I've heard of in terms of customer support. I've never had a problem with them and they've always done right by me. Give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure they are going crazy with the GW2 announcement and priorities are there and not GW1.

because i had not logged into the store in a few years
i could not remember my security question.
so they had to reset it and the NCSoft store
after so many failed attempts had disabled my login.

what it all boiled down to was them "enabling" me to login after it was disabled.
that was what i was trying to explain to the staff that i needed the whole time.
i had reset my password and followed all their instructions via email
and surprisingly enough i could login to GW1
because it didn't require a security question

2 days later they finally re-enabled my to login.
i think it took the right person to understand what was needed

but my main complaint was the several emails with the same
reply that didn't work eventhough i told them i followed
what they said to the letter.

if i didn't use paypal could this have been avoided?

i could login to GW1
because it didn't require a security question

i used paypal so it required leaving ingame store
and going to NCSoft store website
and a security question that was random 4-5 years ago

so this is why i could login to GW1 and not the NCSoft store website
 
They really are good people. I have had to use support a few times, and they always stuck it out with me and performed waaaaaay above average.

Glad you got it worked out :) remember your answer to the question ;)
