WORDS of WISDOM

Often our mouths get us into trouble.
The mouth is probably the greatest weapon of destruction.
James 3:6 says,"And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity.
The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell."

What you say has in enormous spiritual, emotional and physical power.
Proverbs 18:21 says,"Death and life are in the power of the tongue,"

Your words actually have the power to heal or kill, to strenghten or wound, to unite or divide.

How often have we all wished we could take back some of the things we have said? Controlling our words is very important.

Here are some scriptures about the tongue to recite everytime we are tempted to slip and say something we know we will regret:
(1) Matthew 12:34 "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."
(2) Matthew 12:36 "For every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgement."
(3) Ephesians 4:29 "Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth."

Also read
Proverbs 18:20-21 and remember "What you say is what you get."
