Gonna have to agree with Icthus, silly hunters/rogues/agro-hogs heals are for tanks and tanks only. As fas as specs go for instances, it is a personal decision as long as you can do your assigned job well.

Hunter's mark is the best form off communication! Just kidding, I don't know what happened on your run but have a /assist <Main Tank> macro that way you are dpsing on the right mob without breaking cc. Wolves are great pets (not sure if you had one). If you are in an instance where your pet doesn't have to do anything but follow you around, then furious howl is one of the best buffs to get while casting an aimed shot :). The howl dmg bonus you get every 10 seconds contributes to your dmg done...

You can beat Baron in 35-40 mins in a 5 man if people know what they are doing. The hardest part about Baron, is that you only get one shot at him. If you wipe at Baron, the doors to him close and you have to reset and run the whole instance again to get another shot at him.

If you stay close to a goblin guard/bruiser then you should have no problem with the horde because they get attacked if they touch you :) Although if it's a hunter that can kill you fast and FD then thats another thing.
