    Is Dungeons and Dragons

That reminds me of an even better product....the tiger rock. You see, this here rock *shows rock* keeps tigers away. Don't believe me? Well then show me a tiger! I don't see any tigers around here! Now buy the tiger rock!

scientists try to explain buring bush, parted sea

Please point out my arrogance. But FIRST, point out the holes in my argument. Did I say that? Where? Yeah, you're rambling.

I'm sure you'll understand, Eon, when I say that I will not believe in magic until I see it, or it is objectively, empirically observed and studied.

Evil, a force we need or just pain.

Certainly. Eternal seperation doesn't sound too bad, tbh. I really don't like that fellow, as he's portrayed in his best seller. Regardless, it still does not smell like justice to me -- eternal punishment for finite sinning. Besides that, if god really loves everyone and wants that no one goes...

Evil, a force we need or just pain.

OK, so first, we see God punishing us eternally based on a finitely short time. That's like a judge sentencing a kid to live in prison for stealing a piece of candy. Second, if we can fall from Heaven once we're there, it doesn't look very good for anyone, does it? If given an eternal, infinite...

Evil, a force we need or just pain.

Why cannot a person repent in Hell? Why are people punished for eternity for their actions/decisions in a finite time? Also, why cannot a person in Heaven fall? The only solution I see is that "free will" is taken away. Discuss.

Ye of too much faith don't even bother trying to explain things rationally and automatically point to miracles without eliminating other possibilities. Thanks for agreeing with me to a point, though

    Suicide

And suddenly, the ad hoc's start rolling in. "Suicide" has now become a very vague term, vague to the point of being almost undefined..

Eztral, those aren't miracles...just because we don't understand something doesn't give us the right to arbitrarily assign it to "god". It just shows that there are still advances to be made in our knowledge of biology.

    Suicide

Well, there are things I think are extremely obvious, too....but I've learned not to take things for granted.

Convenient. Ever notice that god has absolutely no accountability in this life? Again, very convenient. Cute, too.

    Suicide

So, fighting in the name of your country is not personal gain? It can be seen as personal gain for the following reasons: 1) Benefits your country, benefits you. 2) You kill him before he kills you. #2 also applies to self defense. I think you should revise your criteria.

    Suicide

Good point, Grand Master. See, once people start challenging "Thou shalt not kill" by citing, for example, war, most Christians claim that the commandment is actually "Thou shalt not murder." Can you really murder yourself? Interesting semantics debate...

    Suicide

A better question - can you be forgiven if you do commit suicide?
