    I'm voting for Ron Paul

No. Why do we need a military presence in other countries? Why should we be the police of the world? Government should protect its own people, not other people. That is what their government is for. One could argue that it is humanitarian to offer military aid to some countries, but our...

    I'm voting for Ron Paul

I'm pretty sure Jesus would only join a theocratic party. When you're the Son of God, and can tap into ultimate truth and reality and the eternal present, voting for any human ruler would seem at best short-sighted. I imagine He would not be terribly bothered by human politics in the first...

    I'm voting for Ron Paul

I don't follow your logic. Giving more power to state government and less to federal government spreads out power to more people, not fewer.

    I'm voting for Ron Paul

You know the bit about him pardoning a serial rapist that went out and raped and killed two more women with his freedom? And the bit about him passing a ton of porkbarrel bills that gave a ton of money to special interest groups that didn't really need it? Or drastically overspending during his...

    9600 GT full review:

Yeah, I would like to see what the differences are between the 9600 GT and the 8800GT, which I just put in my computer. Furthermore, will they still make the 8800GT when the 9600 comes out? Because I was hoping to upgrade to SLI at some point and if I understand correctly, you have to use two...

Why Linux might be able to put M$ out of business soon:

This is definitely true. I just got a new gaming desktop and as soon as I built it, I dual-booted Ubuntu and XP, and it took me about 2 hours to copy all my settings and programs from my Ubuntu laptop to the desktop, whereas to copy all my XP programs and settings it took me about 3 days...

    INI tweaks: performance v. shininess

Yeah, I did that with Tribes 2. That game would run smooth as butter 99% of the time, but it was the choppy 1% that always ended up being life-or-death somehow. I run UT3 at all high settings except for the DepthOfField and fog effects though.

    INI tweaks: performance v. shininess

I'm pretty sure the"fog/atmosphere/beergoggles" thing is called DepthOfField in the ini tweaks, you can turn that on if you like it. It makes the game look incredibly realistic, but it also makes enemies slightly blurry at a distance, and therefore harder to hit. Now that I've got my shiny new...

    UT Game Information (Consolidated)

I realized after having to look for this information for more than a few minutes that it should go here... UT3 INI Tweaks thread on MyUnreal: This is a collection of INI tweaks to fix common annoyances and improve graphics performance over at MyUnreal, where the LOB forums are. It's collected...

so im the new guy, lol

Welcome! I am the resident competition fiend, so if you ever want a friendly 1v1 or scrimmage, let me know. I just built my new computer and it plays UT3 like a dream, so I'll be on quite a bit, I expect. UT2004 will forever have a special place in my heart, though, so if you ever want a game of...

    Mitt Romney vs Mike Huckabee?

I agree with pretty much everything Kidan's been saying. If the government stops taking oppressive amounts of taxes from all its citizens to conduct inefficient and ineffective charity campaigns, there will be charity groups to fill the void, and they will be funded by the same people that...

    Most points in one life.

It's pretty easy to rack up sniper kills on the right map. I think my record is in the twenties, and I'm a pretty terrible sniper, I just happened to get on a custom map where I could cover all the entrances from my position and I was the first one out of the gate. 51 is still pretty impressive...

    Mitt Romney vs Mike Huckabee?

This is a great point I forgot to mention earlier. Elimination of taxes on earning and making necessary compensations on taxes on consumption gives strong incentive to savings, something most Americans are in dire need of given that the average American family has a very large amount of...

That's a cool idea, but I want them to make one compatible with Nvidia SLI.

    Mitt Romney vs Mike Huckabee?

Ron Paul is good for the country because of, among many things, his strong support for a balanced budget. He is the only major Republican candidate that can credibly claim to support a balanced budget. Huckabee overspent in his time as governor, and of all the Congressmen running for the...

    A New Challenger Has Arrived!

Whoa, you can crank the details up to 2???? Here I am stuck on 640x480 with all settings at 1. I'm so jealous! God willing, though, I'll have my new machine constructed and next to my desk by the the end of next week or so, and then I'll have enough frames to join you all without constant...
