It depends on what things bother you. (and what your parents say) There is some blood and language, but it's not too bad. ============ POSSIBLE SPOILER (probably not though) ============ The Flood scared the pants off me the first couple times I played it. Maybe I'm just a wuss.

I have it, play it, and like it. It does have some appropriateness issues, but not enough to keep me from playing it. It's a personal issue. I would recommend reading the reviews by CCGR.

Yes, that is always the real answer. CCGR is there to let you know what exactly is in the game, so you have a perspective and can make a decision based on all of the facts.

Good idea if you guys can work it out. Sharing accounts on MMORPG's can be pretty difficult though. I'm just not willing to lay down the $100 for the PS2 HDD with the game, and my PC probably wouldn't run it. Ah well, maybe I won't get it.

Yup.  There are TONS of reviews giving it at least near-perfect scores.  Almost anywhere you look, actually.  But then one person disagrees, and everyone freaks out.  Why the heck do people have to come and whine about someone's opinion being different than theirs?  Argh it's so annoying.  Sorry...
