Quote[/b] ] Exodus 3:1-6 (NRSV)
Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian; he led his flock beyond the wilderness, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of a bush; he looked, and the bush was blazing, yet it was not consumed. Then Moses said, "I must turn aside and look at this great sight, and see why the bush is not burned up." When the LORD saw that he had turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, "Moses, Moses!" And he said, "Here I am." Then he said, "Come no closer! Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground." He said further, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.

Quote[/b] ]God said to Moses, "Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground."
-Exodus 3:5 (NRSV)

WHERE is "holy ground" for you? Where do you hear God speak to you in a special way? Moses heard God speak to him from a burning bush. God can reach us in a variety of places.

My friend Stanley sits in the same place, in the same chair, every Sunday in our Sunday school class. One Sunday, as teacher, I was talking about how, where, and when we found Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives. Stanley said he had accepted Christ right in the very spot where he was sitting. Years ago when Stanley was at the end of his rope, a friend invited him to the church. The pastor knelt and prayed with him, right there in the chapel where we now meet for Sunday school. This spot was holy ground for Stanley, and every Sunday became a time of renewal, remembrance, and rededication.

Where is the holy ground where you experience renewal, remember God's action in your life, and rededicate yourself to following Christ?
