I'm seriously thinking about dropping the $5 for Max Payne 2.

Is there any reason for a discerning gamer not to buy a game from Direct2Drive (i.e. DRM)?

the only problem I've ever had from them (well, two problems) was downloading a game I had already bought, and issues with using my aunt's credit card (with her permission ofcourse) who lives in another country, both were settled easily through customer service, but to be warned, I have heard d2d has a nasty reputation for not putting out new patches in a timely order for non-mmo games. Which considering you are thinking about buying max payne 2, I don't see the patches thing being an issue.

I had no problems with Direct2Drive. It's a pretty fast download, looked secure, and they have a decent selection. Even got a pre-order item for Champions a day after release. Go figure.
