As many of you probably know I have Humar, black lion which between my kids and I, we camped 11 hours to get. Well today was another first, a harder one but shorter. There exist a white lion named Sian-Rotam in the Winterspring north end. He can be viewed here.
The trick is getting a horde to summon his mate (60 elite) and beating her down to about 20% health. She cries out for her mate and he is summoned, also a 60 elite.
Ok that is the background. The implementation of snagging said beast requires us to beat her down, for this I thought I was safe asking Osk, Gry and Erron to give us a hand. Ryer was along for another freezing trap. Our first attempt, our pallies smoked the poor lion, she didn't know what hit her. She was dead before her mate was summoned.
So our horde counterpart abandons the quest and takes it again. Round 2, we summon her but we pull her too far from the alter, so when she calls out, her mate doesn't come. So we quickly tell everyone to flee while we use "scare beast" then us two hunters feign death. She resets but to our surprise, a troll hunter is on the site to take her on. Not sure of her intentions, we sit back and watch for a bit, seeing that there is really nothing we can do to stop her, we finally pitch in and her mate is summoned.
Ryer and I drop our traps, I begin to tame, he is worked his way thru the first trap and is on the second one before the taming ends. Seeing as he is a 60 elite, I'm not overly keen on solo'ing him but his taming completed just as the trap dissolved leaving me with a rather unhappy white lion but now Humar has a friend to play with.
Thanks again to everyone that helped. Oh, the horde character ... It was my daughter, she took the time to do the chain to get to the point of being able to summon so I have to give a huge hug and kiss to my special horde warrior. Thanks babe!
