Another Object Lesson in the Making

Will you please describe a house for me? Any house will do. The one you live in now, your dream home...just a house! :)

My house is four walls and a roof that contain the necessities of my life.

Internally:
It has a kitchen so that we can prepare meals and store food for future meals.
It has a living room so that we can relax, talk, read a book, play a game or entertain guests.
It has two bedrooms and a room turned into our computer room.
It has two bathrooms, because we aren't animals and need to bath once in awhile.
It has a basement that we are developing into a media center.
It has a roof and four exterior walls too keep the weather outside.
It has windows so we can watch the wonders of an Lightning storm.
It has some interior walls help define spaces.
It has exterior walls to protect us from the dangers of the world, whether elements or people.

My house is a place of safety, fun, and love. It is where we live and is the centre of our lifes. Its a place where we start our day and end our days.

My house is a gift from God, hence my nick...

It is a 100 year old house that was build by the railroad. 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, living room, dining room and kitchen.

Hmm. My dream home.

It will be a 2 bedroom home: 1 bedroom for me, and 1 for guests should there be need. I will have a multimedia office where I may do either media production as a hobby or where I keep up to date on the lastest of computer gadgetry for my job. Then I'll have a spacious living room and dining room so that I can hosts bible studies, fellowship gatherings, movie nights, or just have friends over. Then I'll have someplace set aside as a little something dedicated to God. It will be a place for me to study the Word, or to kneel and pray or whatever. The yard wouldn't have to be large, but I would want to be able to put out a nativity scene during Christmas and an easter scene during easter.

Just brainstorming.

I would have to have many houses,

I would like a catamaran with enough room to sail 8 people around the world comfortably.

I would like a small 2 bedroom bungalow on the west coast to take my wife back home and folic in the pacific ocean with her, and build sand castles for no other reason than she would like that every now and then. The second bedroom would be so she could invite one of her many friends.

MY Dream house would be a Castle in Scotland,( I hear there’re cheap) all old and archaic, but the center would be very modernized with a kitchen big enough to compliment the 200 capacity ballroom where I would host parties, LARGE bible studies, and no hold barred MMA competitions between select competitors.

It would have a huge library complete with at least 10 up to date PCs, with Satellite downloads and upload. And when I say Library I mean it, I would stock it with all types of books on God and the pursuit of knowledge about him. ( A university sized one) It would have the Guest house handle up to 50 guests at a time comfortably. This would be a retreat for those who need to get away and back into the place of intimacy with the Lord.

Of course there would be a small chapel and threshing room. A full 200 sq foot dojo for practicing and training, I would keep that fully stocked as well. A wine cellar fully stocked, ( Of course sparkle juice for those who are convicted not to drink) *WINK* I think the main hall would have the 5 master bedrooms. It would have a huge groomed court yard and the Surrounding 200 acres around the estate. (Side Note, instead of gargolyes, it would have statues of Angels, a few old staints, and other bibleical references. I would want to arrange pleasing but not arrogant. I hope that makes sense)

Of course I would need to restore one of the corner towers and stock it with a comfortable day bed, 2 lounge chairs and my favorite books, where I could escape and hid out in.

This would be my dream house, where when my friends needed to get away or where in a pinch , I could accommodate them, I could host retreats for men and women of GOD ( of any denomination) and assist them in their dedication to the Lord God Almighty.

It would be a refuge to those of the Lord and I would be happy to be its caretaker. I would welcome all and I would strive to make it a place of hope, restoration, love, forgiveness and new starts

Now just to get this business rolling!

God bless all

<<<MA>>> I have not seen you in forever! You will never believe this! Last night, you and a few others came to my heart, those I have not seen in a while. That is always a sign to pray for someone, for me...and here you are!!
I would love to visit each and everyone! lol I think there is plenty of room to live at MA's! Need a maid and cook? Part of my payment would be use of that beach home and library:)
All you guys are so precious! Thank you for participating!
This is supposed to have physiological meaning. I know what it is, and I have wondered if I would change my house because of that knowledge. I really don't think so, maybe only a bit of update.
If I could have any house: a large, but modest frame house. White picket fence, and English garden, animals in the acres of land surrounding it, a feeling of warmth, very inviting, not only in decoration, but in Spirit, where we could gather around the Word. lol I am not sure why, but I have always pictured candlelight, even long before I ever collected candles! Such a glow that it shines out into the far outreach of the yard! I think Thomas Kinkaid has the right idea for the perfect house:)

That can be a tricky question. Well do you want a physical house or?

Well at the moment all that comes to mind is a spiritual home where I can feel God's present all the time. Where God dwells. You know I read a book a Woman after God's own heart. In this book it was talking about to create a spiritual home.
If you are talking physiclly well our house has 4 bedrooms, 2 bath, kitchen, dinning room, living room, dobble garage all this is on almost acre. Yes Ura and I was Blessed when we found this house. And God dwells in this house.
God Bless

The psychological meaning, in the way we describe our house, is the way in which we think of ourselves.

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Proverbs 23:7

I am proud to be a part of a group who all included others in some way in their house/dream house. I am not surprised. I brought this subject up because I know it can be hard to keep in mind what God thinks of us. While all the homes you describe sound nice, not surprisingly, the main focus is on the inside, or the overall feel of the home. Warm, comforting, inviting...blessed. With the enemy's onslaught, it is critical that we remember who we are in Christ, our past does not matter, it is under the Blood, circumstances are not important, only God's Truth bears time for our minds to dwell on, and who He says that we are.
CCGR put this out some time ago and I saved it. It bears repeating, for this explains some of who we are in Christ. I could have told you before any of you ever described your home....you all are incredible and would sell for billions! :)
