The psalmist wrote, "I waited patiently for the LORD."

WHEN I was a child I used to play in a tiny stream near my home. I remember there was quite a muddy quagmire at the edge of the stream. One day while playing there I fell into the quagmire and started to go under. The more I struggled, the more I seemed to be losing ground. After I calmed down a bit, I managed to get out, although I was scared and had lost my shoes.
Dear God, we are grateful that you are with us in our tribulations, ready to grant us victory. Grant us faith and patience in times of struggle, and help us to find peace as we trust in you. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
