Authenticator Problem!

I did not know about this change when I got back from vacation - I thought someone removed the authenticator from my account! But don't worry, my account is as secure as ever.

Just wanted to remind everyone to get an authenticator if you haven't already! Also, use a unique password that you do not use anywhere else, possibly even rotate it every so often.

Yeah, I had the freak-out Sunday night when the authenticator screen didn't pop up. So I immediately went to battle.net to see whether my authenticator was still linked ... and when battle.net DID require my authenticator, panicked a little less. I still thought for awhile that it was a dropbox-like WoW security hole they hadn't plugged ... until I found the blue post about the change. You'd think they communicated this a little more on the BlizzardUpdater Portal ... I care about this just a TAD more than Jinx's latest t-shirts, I think...

Anyhow, it is a nice convenience to not have to authenticate from a trusted, proven computer ... but still "feels" a little less secure. I kind of wonder what prompted the change, I wonder if people were complaining or if the help desk was annoyed getting too many calls from peeps needing to reset their authenticators after getting new smartphones or something.
