I've had a HYMN running through my mind all morning since i crawled out of bed
it was "Oh How I Love JESUS because HE first loved me"
So I was doing my "breakfast with the King of Kings" 30 day challenge this morning
and i ended up in 1 John chapter 4
what really stood out to me was 2 verses;
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4:10)
We love him, because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19)
not only did this go with the Hymn i had on my mind;
But i think it is important I remember that GOD loved us before we existed
and knowing we would sin against HIM, HE still died for us.
I believe I am only capable of love because i have JESUS in my heart
being born into sin love was not something i could naturally give or receive
it cost a heavy price to pay for my sins.
and it was done with an act of pure love from an almighty GOD
who even at my worst,
still thought i was worth it
Thank You LORD for loving me despite my failures
and considering me worthy of grace,mercy and love that i don't deserve or haven't earned
