This Sunday SUNDAY SUNDAY!!

For one night only, November 27, we will be having a "Build Your Wealth Night". I figure that lots of folks will be out of town for much of the coming week, so I'm planning on welcoming everyone back on Sunday with a wealth-building night to prepare for the upcoming holiday season. I mean, after all, how are we going to be able to give Christmas gifts without some means to purchase those gifts?

Starting at 8:30 pm EST, there will be farming runs to Grenth's Footprint, Sorrow's Furnace, Underworld, Fissure of Woe, and for our lower level characters, Charr farming at Nolani Academy starting every hour on the half hour until the last group departs at 12:30am Monday morning of the 28th.

I will personally lead the 10:30 and 12:30 runs, but we need leaders to step up and volunteer to lead the 8:30, 9:30, and 11:30 sessions. Please sign up to lead and to join the groups at these times. Here's the list, please copy and paste it with your character's name in one of the empty slots.

i'll prolly do the char farming if i dont ascend but i plan on ascending soon so i can join in sorrows so i'll let u know what happens.
 
What about farming Gypsie Ettins with a semi-decent sized party for those characters that are past Nolani a wee bit (say Kryta) but don't have Underworld yet? Runes, at least the right ones, would be fairly profitable...The group catch of runes could be sold and the gold distributed evenly...

Excellent plan. We'll leave it open to the group to decide whether they want to do the slightly profitable Nolani, or the possibly very profitable Ettin run.

Notice that if we make it far enough someone can charm the spider. There is only one spider per trip.

Requirements again for Underworld, Fissure, and Sorrow's Furnace are here for your convenience. You go to the Underworld and Fissure from Temple of Ages....so you need that on your map. The game requires you to be ascended to go to either place.

Sorrow's Furnace is accessed from Deldrimor War Camp. You need that on your map. No other requirements for Sorrow's Furnace.

If anyone would like to get either place on your map before Sunday I would be glad to help them fight their way there. My running skills leave a lot to be desired.

I'm not sure. I could help pwn at Nolani, but I have to go to bed at 9 o clock. (curses, I detest school-nite curfews) and I might not be able to come on at 8:30, so... I'm not gonna volunteer but then let you guys down.
 
I want to sign up for the 9:30 Underworld session. I've never done UW, but I have been through a few SF quests / farms, and I hold up pretty well using the skills I have equipped on my W/E. I have 10 Tactics, 10 strength, 12 swords, and 8 fire.


My weapon set is: Fiery sword of fortitude, and a rare Gold summit warlord shield with extra health while hexed.

My skills I have been most successful with are: conjure flame, 2-3 adrenal sword skills, pure strike, Defensive stance / Gladiator's defense, Endure Pain, Healing signet.

from what I've heard, i have to be a pretty solid stance warrior if I want to hold up in the underworld. But I have never been comfortable using a hammer, and the axe is too unstable to deal as much damage as I like to. I do have a max damage hammer(no mods) and a max Axe with a couple mods, but I would much rather someone tell me it's ok to go into UW using what I've already got. :-)
 
Warriors in the UW are not expected to be damage dealers. You have one job in the UW......take on the bulls head-on to keep them off the casters. The bulls do tremendous melee damage. Two shots without a stance and you are dead. If they break thru the warriors to the casters your team will be dead in a matter of seconds.

Consider dropping conjure flame and adding another stance. You could move your 8 points from fire to tactics to aid your stances.

Monks by themselves cannot keep you alive in the UW. You by yourself cannot either. It takes a combination of the two. Anything you have that blocks or wards melee attacks will be great.
 
I would lead a group but my shop is having a big sale this weekend it is our 1st year in business sale so we are expecting a lot of traffic and being busy :0( I will try and be on to participate!!

I have Ward Against Melee (earth magic), but that would mean that my 8 points from fire would go to Earth magic instead of tactics. Unless there is a tactics stance that does the same thing, is that would I should do?
 
I hardly ever play a warrior anymore so I would ask for input from those who do........but Armor of Earth could substitute for one of your stances I would think in addition to Ward against Melee. Again, what do you warriors think? Especially those who have been to the UW.

Just looked and Defensive Stance and Bonetti's Defense both block melee attacks.

Armor of Earth and Ward against Melee seem like pretty good choices.


Of course, I'm not a W/E or and E/W and even if I was I'm a fire ele.
 
I see the tactics stances that block melee attacks on myself, but from what I understand, I need to be more after what is going to block my teammates from melee attacks. Or am I just confused? If I go in and tank the bulls, it does make sense that I should have stances that block melee attacks on myself.
 
You are going to be the one taking damage, not your teammates. If your teammates take damage then you have failed to shield them from the bulls. The bulls have to attack the warriors only for UW runs to be successful.
