With the coming of Burning Crusade less than two weeks away I was wondering.

What are you as a raider most looking forward too?

25 man raids....

I think raids not requiring 40 people is a good thing. Too often we can get over 20 but not 40. and those 5-10 People make a huge difference. Also, allows raids to be totally guildies. Thats what I am looking forward too!

You know, the new content doesn't require 40 man raids but Blizzard isn't foolish. The level 70 10 man instance in Deadwind pass requires the Staff of Atiesh in the group to enter the instance. Which means having to do Naxxramus and AQ40.

there is a pretty strong rumor on beta that MC/Naxx/AQ40 will all become 25 man capped after a series of planned/time-release patches take place

I'm looking forward to being able to do high end content with fewer than 40 people, but primarily because that means I won't be limited to doing the last 2 bosses of each raid as I log in at 9:30 ST. :p To illustrate, I've been in on 4 Ragnaros kills, but only 1 Lucifron kill. How backwards is that? My hope is that with 5 and 10 man content offering (relatively) high end rewards, we'll be able to logistically manage an early shift and a late shift raid schedule. We can usually put together a late UBRS run on short notice, that has me optimistic that we'll be able to do the same for BC raid content.

At the same time, I'm pleased to hear that the current raid content isn't going to become obsolete (not that I'm surprised that Blizzard isn't simply invalidating 2 years worth of their work). I do want to see AQ and Naxx. I'm not quite so excited about having that many more faction grinds ahead of me, but I'm hoping that we can get by with not having to grind all the way up...we'll see. And with the added bonus of TBC talent builds and gear, I'd expect that content could be managed with smaller raid groups.

From a non-raiding perspective, I'm just looking forward to exploring more cool Blizzard content. I've played around a little in the Beta on another account (thanks, Ralv!), and am really psyched about seeing it all.

In the burning crusade there will be

13 new 5 man instances ranging in level from 58 to 70
1 new 10 man instance - Level 70
5 new 25 man instances - Level 70

---- Compare that to non-expansion wow ----
19 5 man instances (combined wings)
1 10 man instance
5 40 man instances
2 20 man instances

The first 2 5 mans, Hellfire Ramparts and the Blood Furnace give ZG level green\blue drops. The Ramparts are 58-64 and the Blood Furnace is 59-65. So right off the bat, while not immediatly upgrading T1 items, people without T1 or ZG or AQ20 stuff, will be able to get gear fast. And people with T1\T2\AQ20\ZG gear will still find these instances fun and easier to do then those with straight blues\greens.

--Oh yeah, and there is a lot of faction grinding in the expansion, alot, sorry to inform you.

semi newb question here, and kinda off topic, but my question is: do you need to attune yourself to ZG or AQ? because I have never heard someone mention attunment for either.

Yeah, I knew that the new content will require faction grinding. I was referring to my hope that I won't have to go back and grind CC and ZG factions too much once TBC is released.

Well like I posted in the other forum, the tier 3 stuff from Nax is better then most of the tier 5 lvl 70 armor, which will still make people want to go there. The gear in the First 2 might be better then some tier 1 stuff and the quest rewards in Hellfire Pennisula are great too. I was trying to find some of the items from the first instances but can't seem to. There is a version of atlas loot that I have that has all the items that drop from here, but of course I can't link those until after the expansion comes out.
