Hey everyone. I just found this site through a google search. I currently am part of a christian forum www.warriors4christalliance.com. I am not here trying to recruit anyone for a game or to pull away from this forum in any way. I hope it is not interpretted as such. I play a game called Kings of Chaos (I know it has been brought up here before) and we have a small group ~30 of us who are trying to make a difference through our forums. I would like some advice and help if anyone can offer on things within our forums. This site is so large and successful. I don't know if we should try to bring our group here instead of keeping our forums going or what but I was just quite pleased to find this site.

I wanted to extend my appreciation to all of those out there who are making things like this possible. There are many games that lack positive influences. I know Kings of Chaos is one of them.

Don't apologize! :)

One of the purposes of the Christian Gamers Alliance is to get the word out about other Christian gaming groups and web sites. I've encouraged leaders of such organizations to use our forums to announce major events and other information on our forums and a few have taken me up on the offer of free publicity.

It's always encouraging to hear about new Christian gaming groups, so please feel free to publicize your group on our forums.

As for advice, I would say: Don't be discouraged when non-Christians flame you on forums. I started Tribe of Judah over seven years ago. After posting recruiting for a few months, I realized that the range of replies to Christian gaming groups is rather limited and usually ill-informed. Don't expect non-Christians to act like Christians.

Stay the course, pursue the plan God has for your organization, and surround yourself with wise council.

I have experienced this. It has been interesting though, we have had several non-christians come to our boards and stay. Not because the agree with our beliefs but because they like who they meet. The hard part is to not judge. Sometimes we get "Christians" who come across as all knowing and they are not accepting. I find this harder to deal with than flaming from non-christians. It is always a time for learning.

I would like our website to become affiliated with this site. There are around 35000 players in Kings of Chaos. If a few of them are able to gather some useful advice or guidance from us, it is all worthwhile. It would be nice to be able to direct people in directions where there is such a wide variety as well. I know the person who founded our forums would like ours to be like this here someday. But maybe we can just be a supportive section.
