Domains? Please help.

Hey All,
I had a question: where is the best place to get a domain? I want something to mess around with while I am at my in-laws because I get so bored I end up getting too much sleep. However, I need some place that isn't too expensive because I am not working full time right now. I was thinking of going with Yahoo domains but I wasn't sure. I have to talk to my wife about it but I want to have a list of options to show her... I think she might like to have one in conjuction with me Any ideas would be great! Basically what I want to do is create a page to display info for my stories... my wife would probably want pictures... I don't know if that helps any but I wasn't sure if getting a domain was even the right way to go. Thanks!

I have a friend who has a share on a virtual server at asmallorange.com, its a nice company that is expanding very fast. the shared hosting is the monthly fee + 10 dollars per year for the domain name.

of course everyone and their inlaws will have places to go, and some members may host for you. You may want to speak with SirThom he can provide additional advice.
