no your monitor is not designed for a specific video card type. LCD's are interesting animals. Unlike crts that can display everything the best they can lcd and plasmas have a native resolution. The native resolution is the resolution the individual crystals make up. In your monitor's case that is 1140 x 900. If you are not running that resolution the monitors electronics are having to recalculate everything on the fly..stretch or compress things to mae them fit into whatever resolution you are telling it. This causes all kinds of issues..like ghosting. Try setting your video card to 1140 x 800 x 32 bits. Set the refresh rate to 60hz and let us know how it looks.
Can it go 70Hz? I have a ViewSonic VX924, and I am a dire ViewSonic fan, I only buy their monitors. Mine does not ghost, but in videogames it *looks* better with 70Hz. (not sure if thats more tied into the card than monitor...)
