Guild loot rules

Loot is a hard topic. Fair loot distribution is nie impossible. I have found the want for virtual materials is as bad as the want for real life materials. It causes the same feelings of envy and jealousy, of what is right and what is wrong. Gaurd your hearts and be joyful when somebody else receives something and humble and thankful when you receive items.
The best way to instill good loot rules into the guild is that the guild leaders must lead by example. If you do not wish your guildmates to show greediness in instances, then you do not show greediness. Behavior tends be emulated rather then dictated.
You will always have guild members who put the pursuit of loot higher on their priority list then you, or higher then you think is right. The truly greedy players tend to weed themselves out. Those who are always asking to be run through instance X until they get gear Y, will eventually stop asking because nobody is willing to help them and they change their behavior, or they will leave the guild admist a flurry of accusations of how you are not christians because you don't help them at their whim.
Anyway, MSC may have been around for quite sometime, but the guild itself in growth and experience is still immature. It still has growing to do, and it will go through many growing pains. I offer this advice and discussion as I was the leader of Redeemed as it went through the same types of growing issues, especially around loot. Be strong, keep your eyes on Gods goals for you and how can you fail?
