Legacy of Elijah Guild Leader
I feel very privileged to be in a large and awesome Christian guild. Large and awesome are both easy to accomplish on their own, and both are great to have...but it's extremely tough to do both at the same time. Kudos to all the hard work that has been put in over the years by all involved. My hope for the recruiting team is that we can help make a great thing even greater...but that's a pretty big undertaking. And while we aren't into online evangelism, we of course want to share the awesomeness that is LoE with the rest of the Christian community in Guild Wars.
We need your help! Any guild member is eligible and does not need to be an officer. All of our other LoE officers have other specific areas of responsibility, so the more help we can get here, the better.
How can you help you ask? Just reply to this thread stating interest. Responsibilities would include either (or both) of the following:
I'll stress: you would not need to perform both of these things if you do not want to. If you are a person who loves getting to know new members, but does not like receiving a barrage of abusive PMs after advertising a Christian guild, then join our welcoming crew. If you have thick skin and don't mind a little "door to door", we could really use you! If you have no clue how to do either of the above but are willing to learn/help, we want that too! We already have some strategies in place, and will continue to improve them as we adjust to this new game to make things far easier on the team.
Thanks very much for your consideration!

- Finding recruits - This is the most obvious of the recruiting tasks...finding people in or out of game. This might include the (occasional) guild advertisement over map chat, recruiting players that you play with, or placing advertisements on online Guild Wars community forums. This also includes processing them in - we'll be making sure they know what we're about, finding out a little bit about them, and ensuring they follow the sign-up requirements. This essentially means signing up on the ToJ site and requesting membership here on the forum. This also includes making sure they are a good fit for us (ie: know the rules and will follow them), and we are a good fit for them.
- Welcoming new recruits - Being the new person in any organization is tough. We're here to make them feel welcome and valued, along with helping introduce them to other guild members, especially ones with similar interests. Is someone interested in doing dungeons? Hook them up with me or one of our other dungeon affectionados. A big part of this is simply getting to know them. I feel very strongly that this is the real value behind an online Christian organization. Yes, I enjoy our family friendly environment, but building relationships with other Christians is where the real treasure is.
