Happy Independence Day!

Anyone have any funny stories to share about the holiday?
Yeah! Canfield (the city in which I live in -- home of the largest fair in Ohio) isn't having any fireworks. The rotary club decided that they couldn't fund the display. The odd thing is, they generally charge $10/car to get into the fairgrounds to see the display -- why couldn't they make it $15 or $20/car? That'd be a steal for us, considering we pack 10 into our vehicle. :p And the neighboring township, Austintown, isn't having a display either, due to construction on the new high school stadium. w33k.

I did, however, get to be in the parade this morning. Me and about 20 other people from my church were out promoting this year's VBS program, so that was neat.

yeah so bout 2 yuears ago on the 16th of july i launched about 4 mortars and then my neighbor started yelling at me and threatening to call the police, oh wait this is suppose to be about the 4th, my bad >.>

I remember that... that was a fun night.

a good story....

we were setting off fireworks one year, and we were at some friends house. a mom from our church decided it would be a good idea to let her children run around when we were lighting a bunch of fireworks.
We lit some of those "bee's" and a little boy thought they were really pretty so he ran to go grab one... you can guess what happened.

Well, I work at a store and we were super busy on July 3.

One of the customers came right out and said it while I was bagging his groceries... the holiday is all about booze, bratwurst, and a day off... or three day weekend for some.

It is sad that a holiday of remembrance means nothing to this country.... i've lost all hope in America, honestly. There was radio program on which ask a bunch of people questions about independence day. no one could answer whom we celebrate our independence from... i've lost all hope in America, honestly.
