I give up

I do so detest being left out. I have no idea what playing WoW will like or even if I am going to like it but I should have the extra saved up to get it by next month. I was testing the beta version of ROSE and think possibly WoW will be a simila interface. The one thing I do not like about ROSE is it is really difficult due to the type of character interface to fully react with a guild. I'm still use to Raganarok where you have an overhead view and can see others gathered around you as you interact. I am also very curious as to if they enforce the rules such as no swearing or inappropriate subject matter. I play online games only half to hack and slash my way to glory, the other half is for the interaction with other people. I do plan on joining the PVE server. I have a difficult time with people killing others players. Seems to me personally that crosses a line which Christians should not cross. I'd appreciate any suggestions or insight before I spend this money. Bret@cableone.net

1.) It is just a game it is not real!
2.) If you think killing someone in real life is the same as a game... wow
3.) If you it is the blood and gore that you don't like then remember that most games have a Parental Control setting.
4.) Lastly, if you don't like killing other players then be a character that Heals or casts Protective spells instead of killing.

If this sounds mean at all please forgive me as I did not intend it to be that way.

In monopoly, when you win, is the other person trully bankrupt?

In my opinion, monoply is a far worse game then even CounterStrike. Even though Counterstrike involves killing other players characters, Monopoly teaches people to be greedy with friends and family and the object of the game is to force loved ones into bankruptcy. You are taught to make trades and deals where you are the winner and the other person losses. That my friend, is a far more dangerous lesson for a 5 year old to learn.

As for WoW,

You can report people who trigger or bypass the swear filter. People receive 3 hour to 3 day bans. Because it is so strongly enforced, a good portion of the potty mouthing has all but disappeared. WoW GMs have been very good at enforcing the rules regarding innapropriate names and content.

As for killing other players...its an aspect of the game on a PvP server. Killing a player killer is not unlike killing an NPC character. Except...there is a player on the other side of a players character who choose to play on a PvP server and accept the risk of being a target of other players.
