Func pads are those really tough pieces of plastic right? You shouldn't need any protection on the mouse feet unless you plant to mouse on sandpaper or something. Teflon will give you more slippage however if you get one of those hard chunks of plastic.

i have a mx500 and an everglide optical mousepad.. they work fine and there is no wear... the only thing is that sometimes if you leave the mouse still for a long period of time it starts to jiggle..lol. i think its something to do with the crystals in the mousemat

I have a MS Explorer 3.0 optical (it's about 1 1/2 or 2 1/2 years old and it's still going strong) and a Ratpadz mouse pad. I couldn't be more happy!

you guys use a mouse?

and to think, all this time I've been using the keyboard for everything...

thx for the input guys

one more question tho...if i do use teflon tape is it just the kind u get from the hardware store and what DOES it do for u?

P.S. i guess that is two questions lol

teflon is a product used to fluid proof many different things... myself being a plumber I have used teflon paste on gas line joints and water pipe threeds. Teflon tape is pretty much the same thing only in a tape form. Teflon is also used in pans and other productions to produce a slippy surface or a no-stick surface. If you are using it on your mouse don't use paste that's tacky and won't work for you at all.
