Hey guys how's everything? I thought i'd drop you a line and tellya about something that happened saturday night. I rolled a priest and was in elywin (i know that's mispelled) forest on my way to SW, where i just happened to catch on what was being said in the general chat. now i usually ignore or leave the channel bc usually it's just meaningless junk you know?
Well, just happened the topic of God came up when i logged on. of course some people had to say some stuped stuff, but the conversation happened to concentrate around 2 people, a guy and a girl. He was asking alot of questions and talking about how he didn't understand god at all. So I im'd him and told him if he wanted to talk about God, i'd to to him about God. so he invites me to a party with him and that girl. honestly, i think the girl had no idea what she was talking about, and frankly was not helping out much. fortunalty she left after a few mins. so it was just me and him. he had alot of beefs with Christianity and with God as well.
He was talking alot about differ subjects, bouncing around alot..things like abortion, gay marriage, etc. I got him to admit that he does belive in God, but thats where it stops. He thinks God created us then left us alone. I think this is pretty much based on his personal life and things not working out the way he wanted. he mentioned his parents were of chineese decent and buddhist. I think this is a big issue with him bc he mentioned it alot...saying it was easy for me to believe in God when I was raised in a christian home and he wasn't. He kept mentioning some kind of problem he was going through but did not want to share it. which was fine with me i didn't want to pursue it if he was not comfortable. Honestly, he reminded me of me just a few years ago in some respects. He belives he has no purpose and i told him that was not true. I told him that God does have a plan for him, as well as a purpose. I also told him that there was a reason why he was having this conversation with me and he agreed.
I was able to get his name, Johnny, he's 16 by the way. He gave me his email address and i plan on communicating with him, as long as possible. My personal feeling is that he's going through alot, which all teens do, and he just does not know how to handle it. plus his parents are anti-christian big time. So if you could, pray for this guy please. I felt compelled to. He needs our help. Trusting God seems to be a big deal with him. Pray for his salvation and for his parent's salvation as well. Pray that God will reveal to him his love for him.
I joined a differ guild shortly after kinda hoping that i could do the same someday. Feel free to respond or send me a tell, I'm Dapriest on stonemaul.
