I have thought about this quite a bit and have decided to leave my real feelings about how this should be handled. We have had a fairly consistent group of people running together when we can, we fill in the gaps when we have to. We have been progressing through this instance and have done the same bosses over and over and over (lol). Now that we are making progress, more people want to come -- be it 'timing' or whatever. Is it fair to ask people who have been attending the same thing over and over to sit out while others continue their progress?
Karaz. for me is important for gear upgrades, I am attending more than just karaz. I am off-tanking Gruuls on sundays (hoping to pick up another day as well) and doing heroics. I personally have worked hard for the gear I have and the time I have spent 'practicing' tanking. I do realize this run is not only about my progression, however this has become more important for me lately. So, if I am not attending I will probably find a diff. group, even though I am very comfortable playing with all of the regular people.
Really, what needs to happen is we need a steady group who are able to dedicate certain times for us to go to karaz, which we mostly already do. Changing out players (and 6 none the less) makes a big difference in how smoothly the run may or may not go. So, you will be trying to gear 6 people while the other 6-7 people are progressing normally on their gear. What I really think would benefit all of us is keeping a core group that is solid, well geared people. Getting us through karaz, learning the fights, getting some people geared up pretty well
and then breaking off into yet another group.
If we are changing out so many people, I think we would end up back tracking too much and would probably ruin the progression that we have made so far. I am personally excited about seeing more of karaz and excited that we have gotten as far as we have now, there are certain elements that are needed to keep a run successful and I think swapping out so many people would become very frustrating. Speaking for myself, its been frustrating swapping tanks as much as we have already because I have lost out on stuff I needed to people who have never come back to us. In order to have gear progression you need to keep it tighter, its a little frustrating seeing all the other classes getting upgrades (even though I am happy for you as well!) and losing over and over to a new person
You have people who have spent a lot of time preparing to get this far, helping contribute to mats for pots and gear, studying/discussing strats.
So, I am merely stating the frustration that this could cause and some frustration is has already caused. I do however think it is great we have so many people wanting to come. Anyway, good luck
