I was married just over 1 yr ago, and my wife and I each had our own house. Once married my wife moved into my house and we put hers up for sale. It has been up for sale over a year now. The housing market here in Michigan is stagnant to say the least. My job has severely cut back our hours so we are struggling to make our bills, since we are carrying 2 house payments, and have to put our groceries and things on credit cards, so i am accumulating more debt. Please pray that the Lord will find a buyer for us and help us dig out from under the debt we have accumulated as a result of our situation.

I am responding to a personal message sent to me, I am not trying to use the forum as a sales tool in any way. Another member, who I assume wishes to remain nameless since they sent me a private message, has asked for specifics about the house. It is a 2 bedroom 1 bath house with a 1 stall unattached garage on approx 1/2 acre in the Grand Rapids, MI metro area. There is no basement, and it is on a cement slab. The current asking price is somewhere in the neighborhood of $96,000. This price only covers the amount owed + realtor fees. We are not looking to make a profit, we just want to liquidate the house. The price is not unreasonable given the condition and location it is in. The problem is that in its neighborhood there are about 15 homes for every one person looking. Unfortunately given the local economy the market is flooded and foreclosures are at record highs in Michigan :( .

I work in a field related to Reality. The whole Midwest is suffering from high foreclosure rates right now. Ohio in #1 in the nation, Indiana & Michigan are not far behind.

I'll be praying for you.

ah man, if this was like 3-4 years in the future and i went to indiana state and graduated, i would like buy it off u in an instant. and if someone msged u about that, its ok, may just be Gods answer to an old prayer

Roger that. Just for the sake of notation: I don't have any issue with Captain_Teabags' post. Sir, I wish you the best in selling your home.

Moderators note: Sorry I am slow getting here once again. I personally see no problem with his prayer request either.

I've seen much more shall I say greedy posts for wants etc. I will request yet again that if someone who is NOT a moderator has a problem with a post could you please contact me first either in forums or through email ( same name @ yahoo.com) ???? Let those of us who are the staff make the decisions on what is considered appropriate. Captain if you feel the need I would be willing to have a discussion with whoever it is that has bothered you.

Know our prayers of His will be done are being prayed.

Blessings,"Angel"

Oh, he wasn't picking on me. He was just asking for more specifics. I didn't give his name because I figured if he sent me a personal message, instead of posting in the thread, he didn't want his identity made public.

I personally didn't want my post to sound like a sales pitch. I was posting more specifics at the request of another member, and didn't want anyone to think that I was trying to use the prayer forum as the classified add section. I'm sorry for the confusion :o .

Update:

House still isn't sold and my new realtor hasn't done much of what he has promissed. Please pray for guidance as we decide whether or not to fire him and get a different one. Also please pray for our guidance as we consider renting the house out to help alleviate our financial burden.

renting may not be a bad idea. You might be able to rent it out for more than your mortgage payment making is cash flow positive instead of negative.
