I had never really thought about the physical/Spiritual appearance of the Books in Heaven until I saw this!...It is time for a new Bible for me, what I want my not exist. I ran across this one as I was looking and thought it awesome! I wouldn't want to touch it! It made me wonder...it talks about books that will be opened in Heaven...I wonder how magnificent they will be? Considering one will be a book of every person named who has accepted Jesus, that will be an incredible book, along with the Bible, for contents alone.

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelation 22:19

And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. Revelation 21:27

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Revelation 20:12

His books will be...there is just no words are there? Yet, when you think about this, the most awe inspiring, bow to our knees in worship wonder is this one:

Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. Isaiah 49:16

Can you imagine? There will be so many wonderful sights in Heaven. The nail prints, I never imagined those as properly as I think Mel Gibson did. Then...who hasn't gotten in trouble when they were younger for writing upon their hand? I still scribble there sometimes...but imagine with me...our Heavenly Father, Creator of the Universe, King of Kings and LORD of Lords...we will see our name written in His hands! Oh what great Love! My name on His hands! That is one of the sweetest, most tender things I have ever heard! Sometimes I ponder, why does He love me like that? It seems the Holy Spirit continues to drive it into my heart...just because...
...that is what He chooses to do!

Isn't The Love Of Jesus Something Wonderful!

There will never be a sweeter story,
Story of the Savior's love divine,
Love that bro't Him from the realms of glory
Just to save a sinful soul like mine

CHORUS:
Isn't the love of Jesus something wonderful,
Wonderful, wonderful,
O, Isn't the love of Jesus something wonderful!
Wonderful it is to me.

Boundless as the universe around me
Reaching to the farthest soul away,
Saving, keeping love it was that found me,
That is why my heart can truly say.

ISN'T HE WONDERFUL?

Isn't He Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful?
Isn't Jesus my Lord wonderful?
Eyes have seen ears have heard,
It's recorded in God's word
Isn't Jesus my Lord wonderful?

And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. John 21:25

With this Bible, that would make even more sense! Wasn't the Bible written upon scrolls at that time?

There was something else I noticed that I have never asked and only assumed. The First Word of each chapter of my Bible, (not sure if all versions do it), is in all caps. Then I have noticed especially in the Psalms, sometimes there are two Words:

I WILL sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations. PSALM 89

From what I can see of this Bible, that seems to be the style in which it was originally printed. What a beautiful book! lol Well, I have always thought that, this one simple seems to give it glory with outward appearance. Hey! It will be the same when we meet Jesus, won't it? His outward appearance will correspond to all the beauty of His Loving Spirit!

I know, I know...stop hinting for this Bible! What if I don't ask for another thing for 80 years?? 100? 150? EVER, never, ever????

That thing rocks I will keep an eye out for it or others, I did not know they even exsisted, I am a book collector, I know I will find one, and whenI do i will post pictures and be very immature (Nannaer nanner nanner :D ) But if I find two I will let you know Marcylene!

bECAUSE THERE JUST tHAT cool!

lol We had someone by the name of Smith come to our church and share a beautiful Bible collection, but that one tops them all! Their prices seem fair to me! :) Don't you dare get one and show off!!
What type of books do you collect? ccel.org has a nice collection. It would be wonderful to have some first edition copies of some of those...but probably not for the pocketbook!

Hehehe, I still have my first Bible. My then-girlfriend, now-wife of five years, gave it to me for Christmas 1994. It's a small, leatherbound NKJV, it was flooded when my campsite got 6 inches of rain at AtlantaFest in 1996, it's been to England and back with me in 1997, it was in my car when I saw snow for the first time driving through North Carolina in 2000 on my honeymoon, and it was with me in the hospital room when my son was born in July of 2003. It has 10+ years of notes, and though I've purchased a few since, I'll probably always have it as my primary Bible.

I wouldn't trade it away for an ORIGINAL 1611.

This was supposed to be so much more amazing. You were supposed to be able to view a post time of about 7:00 AM EST, leaving me approximately 5 hours, 15 minutes between the time I went to bed and the time I get to work, with a 45 minute commute... but we had a very rare busy early morning. The best laid plans of mice and men and all that. Oh well.

You have to see these they are well UBER

yes I am a book fantic, I spent my youth looking for 1st printings of books and hard to find books

Those are incredible! The Gutenberg tops them all! Then they have a handwritten Bible, not by just any old hand, either!
I was trying to find a website for Evangelist Jewell Smith. He has an extensive collection of Bible's that are astounding. He travels a lot with his collection and if you ever get the opportunity, I encourage you to see him. Being the avid Book/book lover that you are, you would really be wild about the experience!
I once heard Preacher say that the men who hand printed the first Bible's took the task so seriously that they would go and clean themselves each time they were about to write any of the names of God! We are so fortunate to see Bible's everywhere in America...but looking at the beautiful craftsmanship, for me, brings to light just what a beautiful and Holy Book we have in our possessions. WOW! Those show much physical evidence of that fact!
