My near-term absences

I will be out of town for Christmas with the family from morning Dec 24th to night of Dec 28th. Loew (and possibly a new officer or two-- more on that later) will be handling things until then. Also, if I have to head out before the cape design contest winner can be presented with his/her prize, I'll give it to a trusted associate to distribute.

I will also be out of town from Jan 15th through Jan 19th for my 6th wedding anniversary. We'll be leaving sunny, mild Florida to venture into the great white north... of Tennessee. My son needs to see snow for the first time at SOME point in his life.

Why? Snow is overrated. If you want your son to be able to see something white that lays on the ground, well that's why we have beaches. :D See everything you need, can be found in Florida! :D:D

Enjoy your trips.

I don't know if I want to see a Christmas if it's not white..... but snow gets old fast.... yes I get cabin fever fast :)

I love snow and it does get old to drive in it at times but I would rather have it from time to time than not have it :0)

Snow blows unless I'm skiing on it. In less than a year I'll be moving back to Texas and if I never see snow again, it'll be too soon.

Don't know about that Dallas had a snow/ice storm already this year and they went nuts down there... guess they don't know everything... like how to drive on ice lol

down here where I live, Cali, we never get snow. although, if we want it, we just drive up to Tahoe, where the weather for snow is perfect. not cold, like where I ued to live, but warm with snow. and awesome snowboarding, which is a given.

believe me, living in snow gets old fast.
