Neirai the Forgiven
Christian Guilds List Manager
Hi All!!
On our new website, we will have a FAQ section. In this FAQ section, we will undoubtedly have the usual questions: "How can I join?" "Must I be a Christian?" "How about endgame raiding? do you do that?"
However, I was talking to Adam today and I thought, 'hey, maybe we can use this as an opportunity to answer some of those naggin thoughts people have about Christians and WoW, such as "do Christians game? I thought they could only play non-violent games like solitaire or word puzzles" or "Christians only ever play pallys, right? and NEVER warlocks"'. So what I am proposing is that we add a "Christians and gaming" section to the FAQ... And that we post on the main server forums asking people for questions, and answer them in clear, concise, and non-defensive/aggressive ways.
Then, we post the FAQ link back to the forum. I'll try to upkeep that FAQ as much as possible based on the questions, and comments given by people on the forum. I'll also try to restate any negatively phrased questions as real questions. (e.g. You are bigots!! You hate the gays!!! == What about the Christian stand on homosexuality?) Yeah that's right, if it comes up, I'll even try tackle the hard ones...
Anyways, I don't plan on doing this myself
I wana know what you guys and gals think, and I want to know what to say most of the time. I also want to know if you think that this is a reaaaaallly BAD idea. And I'd like to know if you have any questions that you feel should be answered on this FAQ.
Also, I'd like to say, if and when I post the thread on the forums asking for data, I expect, and actually want, a lot of very negative invective-laden responces. What I half expect, and do not want, is negative invective-laden comebacks from the Christian community. I'm sure I don't have to say this, but I will... we, as the Forgiven, don't need to respond to the negativity. If someone posts a flame, I will simply post back saying "<Distilled Question> This and more will be answered on our FAQ at <url>" and leave it at that. We aren't collecting this information so we can reason, or argue, or fight with people. We're here to (and pardon how pollitically correct this sounds) promote understanding between non-Christians and Christians. I found that in the past, many of the posts about Christians on the forums have been BADLY misinformed. We should be better at getting the truth out, and this is a great tool to do it with.
For the truth will set 'em all free
God bless, and get back to me on this!
