The Zodiac sux, don't buy it. the Nokia hand held won't be that good either, I wouldn't buy that. It all depends on the size of your wallet. the PSP will probably be more expensive, but I'd buy that if you like PS games a lot. ( I doubt it could be that portable, though. ) The DS sounds awsome though, with the two LCD screens. I'd suggest that.

The PSP looks way smaller than the DS, judging by some pictures I've seen. No doubt it will be pricey though. I really don't want the Zodiac for myself, but I threw it in there anyway.

DS, because that's the only one I've seen other than N-Gage, which looks horrible.[

The new N-Gage QD model looks pretty cool. It's smaller and easy to swap cartridges. Still, it needs more games, and the hardware won't compete with the DS and PSP.

I say, the Nintendo DS.....

Reasons:

Touch Screen
Online/Wireless/Unlimited gaming
Two screens
Plenty of buttons
Headphone jack built in

Plus, I grew up with nintendo, and I was never really into Sony with their hardware. I like MS' Xbox though.

I would definately choose the Sony PSP over the Nintendo DS.  It looks better IMO, and I'd like to see someone other than Nintendo succeed in the handheld market for once.  Prices haven't been confirmed for the PSP yet, but I'm guessing it could go for $200-300.  The Nintendo DS is currently selling for $200.  You should check out the PSP trailers and see for yourself how cool it looks.  PS2-quality graphics in a little thing that's smaller than the GBA.  Plus, it's going to have FFVII Advent Children!

As for me, I'm probably gonna go with the N-Gage QD.  It's cheap, it's a phone, it has some quality games with way more coming by the end of the year, and it can play music, movies, and I've heard it can even emulate NES.

That's my thinking anyway.  I'm not trying to force my opinions on anyone else.

I watched an hour long special, yes I get that bored to waste an hour on a show about handhelds, and from wht Ive seen, the new Nintendo system is a step ahead of the rest in performance, which doesnt surprise me since they do know hand-helds a lot better then the rest of the dev's throwing theirs out there now :p

Nintendo needs to drop out of the console race and stick with handheld gaming. They've been the best in the market since the gameboy started, and they'll stay that way unless something drastic happens.

I've never liked gameboys, always liked other handhelds. I don't like any Nintendo consoles. I don't even like most games on nintendo systems. So I would never consider getting the DS. The PSP however looks pretty sweet and offers what I'd want.

I saw the PSP's E3 demo and was amazed.  The DS looks OK.  The touchpad really doesn't mean much to me.  I'm just fed up with Nintendo always dominating the handheld market with its lower quality hardware and ports of old games.  (Sorry, people.  That's just the way I see it.  Think of the NeoGeo, GameGear, etc...)  You could check out this article too.  Not all of those failed because of the GameBoy, but that's not the point.  Either way, I enjoyed it.

The PSP has rumors going that it will start at $500:

If you look at the EBGames product page for the DS (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/241868.asp) it says "The ship date and retail price have not been confirmed and therefore are subject to change. If the retail price is decreased you will receive the lower price."  Plus, they are not "selling" it, it's on pre-order.

The DS is going to be, at most, $150 (ebgames just threw $199 on there just to aim high

Nintendo President, Satoru Iwata has stated that in addition to looking to other manufacturers for extra LCD screens to prevent any shortages, the price of the Nintendo DS is to be in the same range as the GBA: SP - which is amazing considering the latest news on the PSP's pricing!

Indeed, a variety of analysts have speculated that the DS - still only a codename; the handheld may well be branded differently when it ships - will retail in the US for around $150.

----That should keep y'all busy!!

Everyone knew from the get-go that the PSP would be spendy and cost more than the others. But it's higher quality in my opinion, and it's coming from a company that has a record of pumping out lots of games without stiffing you on quality. Ever since the PS1 I've been a sony fan. Ever since the N64, I have not wanted anything Nintendo. I hate the designs Nintendo comes up with for their consoles, I never liked the gameboy in any variation, and I don't like most of their games. Nokia... Nokia makes horrible phones, and their handheld has the smallest screen ever, why even bother?

Everyone hates on N-Gage before they try it. All the people I've heard from who actually bothered to get one have all loved theirs. Same with Xbox.

Yeah, I thought that Xbox stunk when it first came out, but now, I love it! I actually have my mod-chip on the way

Same here. I never liked Xbox, but the price drop (and some greed...) convinced me to get one. Once I did, I loved it, and now it's my favorite console. And some of my friends who used to hate Xbox went out and bought ones after playing it at my house. So I guess the moral of the story is, don't be too quick to judge.
