ARE U JOKING! UGH I CAn'T STAND BRACES ANY MORE. I had'em for 2 yrs (thank the lord) and just took'em off this year. First thing i did was biting deeeeeep in to an apple and boy that felt good. Ugh, i hope you survive through it, and make sure u brush very very thoroughly, and floss. U don't want to take it off cuz of rotten teeth and take it on again. blargh. im glad i didn't hav to do that.
 
Well affording it is bearly an issue.. pain...... thats the big issue. I've about 2 more weeks of sleep i need to make up in my life. :S
 
I got my braces last September (2003), and I am getting them off in February. Also, there hasn't been as much pain as anticipated

But I shall pray for you! The first day it will be easy going, but a few days after that will be very hard.
 
they changed the wires on mine so many times, everytime it hurt. I couldn't even chew on soft steamed tofu, my family had to basically tie me on a chair so i couldn't walk for 10 hours to get to the orthodontist (eh.. u get the rest of the would-be violant story). and having a metal band stuck between two teeth isn't fun i tell you. It's funny how my teeths were proly the best looking out of all my relatives and they found the most stuffs that were "messed up" in my teeth.. blargh. blargh ugggh.
 
lol. 8:52PM. My front teeth are a little sore. Tommorow i will probably need to take my 2nd tylonel in my life. i only took it once for spacers...
 
SA, i know how you feel.  Spacers for me, couldnt touch my teeth together for 3 days, or i would scream in pain.  ortho said i had the worst reaction that they have seen ever.  i usually had the same thing with new wires, everytime they hurt.  I had them for 2.5 years and got them off about a year ago.

With you bro, spacers were huge pain.. but not as bad as having a metal band (bigger spacers, as they told me.)
